We went there for a birthday party for my daughter. The server was extremely friendly and attentive. Food was delish especially the Caesar Salad and we loved our Chicken dish. Her party ordered the largest dessert which served the entire party. Fun experience with outstanding service. We went to Buca in Oakridge.

Pros: Great value for the money

To all who may be thinking of planning a great night out for the family or friends. I must warn you about this awful place. I'm not saying that all Buca di beppo's are bad, because I have been to other that were fabulous and along with the great meal the restauants are run by amazing managers. Although for some reason when I planned a dinner event at this location the service was ridiculously rude and the rudiest employee of them all was the general manager Eddy.BIG SHOCK. After the horrific time of being treated like unvalued guest the food was less then perfect, coming out cold and unappealing. My recommendation to those who are thinking of going to this restaurant pick another place. and for anyone working at Buca reading this I will never bring my business there again. Im rating this restaurant a 0 for their poor service and horrible managment, thanks for the awful time Eddy.

Pros: none that i can think of......

Cons: you name it I'll agree with it.

Buca is always a great place to go, but best for large parties. The portions are huge and one entree can feed 6 people. The service at Buca is fast and friendly. The ambience at Buca is festive and fun. I eat at Buca all the time, but I recently went brought a large group there for part of a bachelorette party weekend, they were helpful in selecting the menu and had the whole room acknowledge the bride-to-be in our party.

Went into the Palo Alto location and what an amazing sight. you walk right into the kitchen. our food was wonderful. the service was great what an amazing time we had

Two experiences here, and I only got to eat once. First experience was, well, wait about 45 minutes, got a table with our party of 6, the place was very noisy and not overly clean inside (crud on the floor), and the waiter basically *told* us what to order. It arrived. The only thing positive I can say about the food was that there was a whole lot of it. Otherwise it was no better than Denny's quality. And it was stuff that any idiot can make at home. Second experience was with a group of 12. They didn't honor our reservation, apparently having overcommitted, and offered, after a wait, to seat *some* of us (at a 6-top), with the others promised a table "soon". That led to a public and unpleasant disputation involving several of us and the management. We went to a nearby Indian place and ate well.

Pros: quantity of food, festive atmosphere

Cons: noisy, bad food, long waits

I admit, it's not the most romantic and nice place to eat. Food is good but not excellent. However, it's a great place to go out to dinner with bunch of friends. We all complain about how we have to place to eat with many people, well here it is. The waiters are fun and friendly and you'll have a great time with your friends. Portion in amazing and good place for what they give you. Tiramissue is excellent.

Yes portions are big and prices are a value sized, but quality is mediocre. You get what you pay for. If you want to treat 10 people and spend $20 per head and have everyone full this is the place. The Bay Area Costco of Italian food. Much too loud in here, we could not carry on a normal conversation without shouting. But for quality Italian food Il Fornaio, Bella Mia or Il Postale are all better choices. The price per head will be higher but the quality is much better.
