We are regulars at Amand because of the great food, value and excellent service. We frequently entertain international guests here and the love it as well. Our favorites are the matu special, chicken. Tikka masala, saag paneer and the sahi paneer. Don't let the older diner appearance negatively turn you away...it's clean and simple. We highly recommend this to anyone who appreciates great Indian food.

I frequent to this restaurant not because I have no opter option but because it is the best restaurant in Cincinnati area. The food, amibiene and service is excellent everytime. Buffet on the weekends can not be matched by any other restaurant in this area. Even on the weekdays, the menu is different everytime and it's tasty and neat. I highly recommend this restuarant.

  • Pros: neat and tasty

One of the worst, Horrible Restaurant I have ever seen in the USA!

Cincinnati has very good Indian restaurants but "Anand" is definitely nowhere near them in terms of Food and Restaurant quality.

When I went to the place with my colleagues, the entire place was stinking with smell similar to that after wiping a Plastic table with a wet unclean cloth full of bacteria and diseases! The chicken was stale.

I would not recommend trying this restaurant..seriously! You can go to much better restaurants in Cincinnati like New Krishna, Amma's Kitchen, Brijmohan, etc.

  • Pros: None
  • Cons: Horrible and Stale food, Stinking place

I am not an internet person. However,...I just thought that anand India was the best place I have been to, which gave me the urge to recommend you guys. They have tasty food, kind servers, they treat everyone like an individual guest! Best place to recommend. If you are the one who enjoys the food then I would tell that this is the best place to go. As you enter, the doors you can see feel the Indian spark. Once again,...I?m not the one who writes big essays on net. So all together,...anand India is the best I can recommend anyone who loves food. If you go once...you will go again....so try anand India...I?m sure you will be glad that you found a great place to eat.

  • Pros: food,service
  • Cons: none as observed

Saying that this place is terrible is an understatement. For starters the decor is totally unappealing, and looks like a fast-food joint. . The server is inattentive to your needs; simply brings the food, then shows up when you're done. Here's the "fun" part, Dear reader, learn from our mistakes (failure to read these reviews before venturing to this place). DO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT. IT IS A RIPOFF. The only thing missing from the sordid experience was getting sick from the food...and I'm not sure if I'm out of the woods yet...it may have a delayed, sickening effect.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS...PLEASE!!!!!

Was very disappointed by this Indian restaurant. I decided to visit it after reading the reviews but it turned out to be a fiasco. The food is mediocre, the place is very loud during lunch (my college cafeteria is way more pleasant) and the service is bad and not friendly. I went to for lunch and found my table dirty; the server took a long time to refill my glass of water. The buffet area was not clean at all. And the price isn't justified neither by the food nor the service. I won't go back and would recommend people to try Amma kitchen in reading road. My Indian girlfriend loves Udupi in Cary. And I love it too.

The place is dark, smelly; the food is not good at all. The waiters don?t take your order, Manager is always on phone you have to call one over and when you do they say they will get someone else, me and my friend waited for 15 min, NO ONE came over to take our order, when I finally got someone to order something from the menu they made me repeat the order 3 times. The food came in 30 min later. It wwas good Indian rest. . I believe now management has changed. I belive Mexicans were cooking Indian food and not real Indians maybe that?s why it did not taste anything like Indian food and it was pretty bad. I would NOT recommend anyone to go eat there; it?s a big disappointment.

I am traveling from Portland, Oregon and am staying near this restaurant and am glad I tried it out. The atmosphere is very bland and non-appealing, but the food was very good.

I started with a vodka and mango juice and the Keema Samosa's and enjoyed their full flavor along with the 3 riata's they serve with my meal. For dinner I had a the lamb saag, basmati rice and the traditional naan bread. The saag was very nice, lots of flavor and the lamb was perfectly tender. The rice had the perfect touch of saffron. I must admit that I was a little disappointed with the naan bread. It was extremely thin, and a little oily and bland, and obviously not cooked in a tandoori oven as I would expect.

The portions were large and I actually took about half of the meal back to my hotel for leftovers. Their food is well spiced, I got a 3 out of 6 on the heat scale, but could definitely have gone a little hotter, as the spice was not overwhelming.

I cook Indian food at home and was pleased to find a restaurant that has not been Americanized. The prices were also reasonable. I spent $22 for my entire meal, not bad for a drink appetizer, lamb dish and bread.

If you are in Cincinnati, this is a great place to stop for a great meal!

  • Pros: Food, Quick Service
  • Cons: Ambeince

While in Cincinnati for the first time on business I drove around aimlessly to find something that looked good. By the time my hunger apexed, I came upon Anand.

The food was very good and the service was very courteous. It was late afternoon, and like most restaurants at that time, it was pretty quiet. The price was a bit more than I'm used to paying for the same portions at other Indian restaurants, but then again, I'm used to another city.

  • Pros: Food, Quiet
