I've known Sam since day one....love the guy & his family...he masterfully attempts to show his TRUE caring for his customer displayed through his charm & employees. Just about everything is good, no one mentions his 4 choices of fish sandwichs, fillet, flounder, halibut, salmon...they're KILLER!! Can't STAND my food prepared in a SMOKING AREA & forced to walk through it to get to a non-smoking area. This is a REAL turn off...

Pros: good, better , best

Cons: smoking, smoking, smoking

If you want charm and good ole' fashioned service then you must visit Price Hill Chili. Price Hill Chili has expanded over the years and has many dining options including: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. If you are from out of town you have to try the homemade Goetta (what's Goetta? stop by and ask). And if you are a fan of highschool football stop by and tell them you are a Moeller Fan and see the reaction. Price Hill Chili is home to the 2002 State Champion Elder Panthers and their Purple Pack. (Note: Despite what the Editorial says, this is "not" a Mexican restaurant)

Pros: Atmosphere, Value, Good Parking

I grew up down the street from Sam's, and all I can say is, I'm glad Graeter's moved from Prout's Corner, or I'd be as big as a house! Price Hill Chili is a true neighborhood restaurant that combines real Cincinnati chili with a friendly family atmosphere.

Pros: Inexpensive, Family friendly, Neighborhood place

Cons: Traffic on Glenway, Limited parking

Price Hill Chili has the best food in town. The prices are good and the atmosphere is family friendly. It's hard to go a month without at least one visit to Sam's.

Pros: inexpensive, great food, great atmosphere

Cons: NONE

PHC has the best breakfast in the city. Prompt service, friendly waitresses, the best goetta in the city. And you can't help running into old friends and making new friends every Sunday morning.

If you live on the west side of Cincinnati you have probably been to Price Hill Chili. No matter when I go there I see someone I know. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. It's a place to feel right at home.

This place is great! Three O'Clock in the morning, you can get a big bowl of chili and a sandwich or you could get two eggs scrambled with goetta and hashbrowns. Prices are cheap because they know we're broke. Food is fast because they know we're hungary. Water is first because they know we're thirsty.

Pros: open late, easy to find

I grew up a few streets from Price Hill Chili and when I was a kid it was always special when we would go there. It didn't matter if it was for Sunday breakfast or Coneys at 10:00 at night we always loved it. I don't live on that side of town anymore but still I always go back for cheese coneys and then a double decker to go!! It is truly a wonderful place and I have several wonderful memories from there.

Pros: fast, friendly, affordiable

Editor's Review

More than just a place for chili, this friendly neighborhood diner also has a full breakfast menu plus mile-high sandwiches.  See the full editorial review.
