Drinks are pricey, bar can get crowded

I've been here a handful of times and each time it's been either completely empty or super-crowded. Each time I've gone there has been a cover at the door, and the drinks have been a bit pricey. The crowd is a bit older (people in their 30s seem to frequent there) and the crowd also doesn't seem quite as friendly as other places. It's a place worth going at least once to experience it (go in the summer, they have a great patio).

• Pros: Live music a lot of nights
• Cons: Pricey drinks, older crowd

A hangout for Hyde Park and Mt. Lookout's 20-something singles.

From spring to fall, the outdoor patio is the place to be see and be seen. There's live music for a nominal cover, usually on Friday and Saturday nights, mostly consisting of popular acoustic guitar songs. A nice selection of foreign beers is on tap. There are plenty of peanuts to go around and the staff encourage you to throw the shells on the floor. The jukebox is limited to classic '70s and popular '80s.
