Definitely the best yarn store in the city. Shop owner is an expert knitter who is happy to help solve your project problems. Beautiful store, ample space and natural light makes it easy to look at the colors and get at the mechandise. Caters to the more serious knitter, but also has some fun & easy projects. Has the most complete Rowan inventory anywhere, and the yarn is there - you don't have to order and wait....and wait....and wait. She also has a nice selection of needlepoint. I highly reccommend a visit to this shop, and it should be a pilgrimage destination if you are into Rowan.

i really like this yarn store--i'm familiar with most of the fiber stores in cincinnati and northern kentucky and one more stitch is one of my favorites. ironically, some of the negative comments from other reviewers top the list of reasons i purchase much of my yarn from this shop. the women who own this store are not snooty, they're just "hands off" until you ask for help. when i'm shopping for yarn, needles, and notions, i want time to browse, to touch and handle the fibers, to take in all of the offerings. the last thing i want is a "salesperson" trying to talk me into yarn i can't afford or don't want. these women are lifelong knitters: they have answers for you and are glad to help you when you ask, but they're not going to hassle you. the yarn selection is not limited, per se, but they do favor rowan here. they have tahki, noro, colinette, and several other smaller brands as well. yeah, you're going to spend a bit more here, but you're also going to get quality needles (addis, susan bates) and yarns and beautiful notions that you might not find elsewhere. on a recent visit, i was trying to determine how much yarn i needed for a project and the owner actually recommended that i purchase fewer, not more, skeins. she could have easily let me spend an additional $15 on yarn, but she didn't. finally, and this is a personal issue, i support this yarn store because it's in a part of the city that really needs/deserves more attention and successful businesses. i get tired of traveling to the suburbs or to northern kentucky for yarn. i'm pleased that the new location is easy to reach (for those of us who live in town) and that, whether they mean to or not, the owners are helping an older section of town in the process of returning to its former beauty.

I normally would never go out of my way to write a bad review, but this is an exception. I have been knitting for 6 years, crocheting for 1, and spinning and dyeing for a few months. I spend most of my time doing fiber crafts and spend a lot of money on yarn and other supplies. I went into this store and introduced myself to the owner. I asked if they offered classes and offered my serives as a teacher. She was very snooty and spoke to me in a tone that suggested I couldn't possibly be a good knitter. She followed me around the store as if she was watching so I didn't steal anything. I left the first time without buying anything and feeling very bad. I decided to give the store one more try and had another horrible experience. I wanted to buy a shawl pin and asked to see them, they were very simple and plain and cost 80+dollars. Needless to say I didn't buy one. I looked at the construction and said "hmmmm, that is out of my price range, I guess I'll try to make one", and the woman said "I doubt that". I will never go back and wouldn't suggest anyone go there. The selection is also very lacking. There are a lot of worthwhile yarn stores in the cincy area and this ISN'T one of them! Avoid at all costs!
Pros: None
Cons: Poor selection, Rude staff, Overpriced, Focused on knitting no crochet book or supplies

I love to knit and I love to go to new yarn shops. This was my very first experience at this shop. The two women working were not nice. In fact, one was really rude. I needed two sets of bamboo needles and she helped me get them (because simply looking around one couldn't find them on their own) and they were $13 apiece! That's insane. I can get the same products at another store for almost half that. I looked around for a bit at their meager yarn collection and put the needles back. I said my thank-yous and walked out the door. As I was leaving, the woman who was helping me was like, "Did you put the needles back?" and I said, "Yes." She continued, "Did you put them back where they belong?" and again, I said, "Yes." She then went to the display and went through the needles to make sure I put them back. I am a college graduate and today I may have looked a little unfancy in my jeans and t-shirt, but I certainly don't look like someone who would go to a new yarn shop with the intention of stealing needles. That being said, there were only two other customers in the store, but they must have been regulars or family members because the same woman was really nice to them. Their yarn selection isn't as good as others in the area and the only real plus I saw was their larger-than-average button collection. I don't plan on going back, which is a real shame because I tend to spend a lot of money on yarn and needles.
Pros: Spacious store, lots of buttons, colorful yarn
Cons: Poor selection of yarn, needles, and books. Poor customer service. Inadequate signage out front, easy to miss. Ample parking on the street, but I had to use a meter.

Just moved to a new location and all I can say is WOW. A very spacious shop with lots of natural light which makes it very easy to see the true colors of the fibers. Plenty of stock - so you don't have to wait to strart your project. A must visit. Call ahead to get the new street address(phone number is the same) - is is just down the road from the old location.
Pros: Great space, great lighting, easy parking, easy to see the yarns
Cons: None
