Unorganized

by tellers

I made reservations for a party of 15. We had our evening planned around this dinner. A Teller's employee leaves a message on my voicemail, a day and a half prior to our reservations, letting me know that Tellers will be closed due to unexpected construction?!? She then told me they had been closed all week due to this construction. It would have been really nice for them to let us know and we could have arranged a back up party. Or at the very least could have provided us with some back-up options. Very rude and very unorganized.

I have heard their food is over priced, and it is apparent their service is not up to par either.

I will never eat at Tellers and either will any of our party of 15.

Didn't live up to the hype

by coach38

My date and I went there for dinner. Our server was marginal at best. He obviously could not multi-task and take care of more than one table at a time. He disappeared for very long stretches of time. The food was disappointing to say the least. Over priced entrees without the benefit of salads or sides.

Great location, atmosphere, food, and service!

by cincifoodguy

Continue to go to this place for several reasons. The food is always great (huge fan of their fish dishes), service is personable and very helpful, and the atmosphere is great for any occasion - date, work group, family get-together. You don't feel crammed when sitting inside and the patio is great in the summer!

  • Pros: Food, Service, Atmosphere, Location
  • Cons: Parking (if you don't want to Valet)

Caters to young, noisy, and pretentious consumers

by cincyreviewer

This restaurant caters to the 20's and 30's population who enjoy acting pretentious. The atmosphere for this chain, yes it's a chain, sets in an old bank and offers more of a bar experience than dining experience. The place is extremely noisy even during times when one would think it's primarily dining. It's difficult to hear dinner companions and wait staff must speak very loudly. Parking is a nightmare, and for some reason the police allow a private company to block-off city parking so you must pay to valet your car. Certainly the pretentious among the customers, and there are many, find valet parking a draw. The youngsters appear to act as if this is trendy and the place to be seen. This restaurant sits in a city square type of setting across from a very small park. The food served comes from a more than adequate menu, and once you've been served Sysco food, it's easy to spot. It's non-offending to taste, but offers nothing worth noting. Service seemed quick the day we arrived and the waiter acted friendly. You can experience the same food at other restaurants in the city and have adequate parking and little noise. If you're in need of a bland meal and unfortunately find yourself in the midst of this pretentious middle-class area that tries to appear upper-class then try Teller's.

  • Pros: Fast, decent wait staff
  • Cons: Pretentious, no parking, very noisy

Hip hang out with great food at reasonable prices

by ohreservationplease

I've been to Teller's three times in my travels to Cincinnati and went back now that I live here. I'm consistently impressed with this place. The menu choices are unique and varied, the food fantastic and the service right on. It might not be your top choice for a romantic dinner for two, but for a fun casual meal that will make you want to come back, you can't go wrong with Teller's. The upstairs patio is great on a nice evening, like tonight. The people watching is as good as it gets in Cincy.

  • Pros: Great food in a cool setting.
  • Cons: A little noisy, but that's okay.

Not the best...

by infamous1995

Honestly this place isn't special. It's not all that expensive, but I would say it's not a good value. If you're looking for a nice place to eat, this is not it. If you're lookin for somewhere new to go and have a good time then it's worth checkin out.

  • Pros: atmosphere, location
  • Cons: value, parking is a nightmare

A full spectrum of local brews and microbrews, imports and domestics.

by Contributor

In Short
Young professionals mingle with Hyde Park denizens in the airy atrium. The bar becomes a singles scene at night. The absence of televisions and pool tables make this a classy spot to see and be seen. High tables seat six, and spacious aisles make for easy circulation. Beer aficionados will enjoy the selection. Exotic appetizers like artichoke-clam dip or individual-sized gourmet pizza, kick off a dinner menu featuring everything from hearty favorites to fusion cuisine.

Good Food - Great Location

by cincyrestaurantmaven

First of all, please disregard NYCuser's comments. They obviously hate this town and the people in it. I grew up here, moved to NY and now I'm back with a lot of perspective. (The people brought me back). Tellers has dependably good food and is a good time. It used to be one of the few places for a 30 something to hang out. The Hyde Park Square location is great. Not sure why the square is not littered with great restaurants. Go here and have a good time. PS, I live here and use city search all the time.

  • Pros: Good for 30's, Food, Vibe
  • Cons: Park is sometimes bad

Good choice for Late 20's early 30's crowd

by japiening

Great food - try the bbq chicken pizza - and great daily drink specials. Sit outside on the second floor deck on a nice night. Great service - quick & attentive. Definitely a good choice

It's all relative...so "8"

by NYCuser

It's all relative - the rating that is - to the specific location. Not being from Cinci, but having been there many times, I can say that for Cincinnati, this place is great. Good people, ok food, good atmoshphere, and plenty of space. If you think the people in her are "too high brow" for you, or it's "too expensive", or the people at too rich - then you REALLY haven't been out of Ohio. If you are traveling to Cinci, which would be the only reason you're reading this because nobody who didn't go to gradeschool in Cinci moves there?!, then go to Teller's. It's in the best part of Cinci, and has the best crowd. But, again, it's all relative.

  • Pros: scene, selection, location
  • Cons: cincinnati, ohio, cincinnati, oh
