The rooms were huge. It was like an apartment really, and a large one at that. The rooms could easily hold two people in the one large bedroom, and two in the next one and probably two more in the living room. You would have room for even more people but they would have to have cots or sleeping bags. No worry about running into people. THere is a great view from many angles. Food can be had on site but within walking distance are plenty of places to eat. The staff were very nice and the door man and person at the desk especially. Each room came with coffee, dryers, well furnished kitchen with cabinets, plates, cups, bowls, full size refrigerator, etc. and the place was also very clean.

This is an amazing hotel and a fantastic value for the money. The staff is very service oriented and friendly. The rooms are very large. I stayed in a one-bedroom suite. The bedroom was good size and the living area was huge. Add to that the full-size kitchen. The kitchen is very nice and the ability to cook my own food was very handy on my trip. I was alone but the dining table can seat four comfortably. All of the furniture was like new and very comfortable. A proper desk chair for the computer/writing desk would be nice, though otherwise it was a nice working arrangement. High speed Internet is available though woreless and ethernet. The room even had a balcony. There is a cafe on site and the hotel is close to everything downtown. Parking is available for only $5 a day. Everything about the Garfield is first rate, yet the price for the room is incredible.

Pros: Spacious, great value, great service, full kitchen

I really enjoy staying at the Garfield. It's close to several nice restaurants and a terrific used bookstore. I can dine out or cook in my own kitchen that has everything I need. The separate living room and bedrooms make it feel like home. I am very comfortable there.

Pros: Roomy, Conveniently located, Clean

Cons: Traffic, Limited Room Service, No Pool
