First Watch on the job.

by ryan_young at Citysearch

Cincinnati owes much to the restaurant of First Watch.

Continually every weekend the restaurant is packed from open to close with families out shopping or eating brunch after sunday service. No other restaurant in the city holds such high standards for a clean and vibrant atmosphere for enjoying a deliciuos meal with any crowd on a sunny sunday morning. The food ranges from healthy, clean, and light to deliciously devillish.

  • Pros: Super Awesome
  • Cons: No other restaurant, like it in the Nati

The best breakfast in the region!

by BuddyM902 at Citysearch

Today was my second visit to First Watch in as many years. All the negative reviews couldn't be further from true. Maybe all the cons and complaints came from sheltered and spoiled tourists. The food was terrific, with excellent service. The food does not compare to any "Denny's" or "Waffle House", as some buckeyes complained. No cons were found by me or anyone in my party. I suggest anyone who is capable, experience it for yourself and make your own judgment. They also have a wide variety of healthy options and very large portions. This is a MUST TRY restaurant! and tip your server like they deserve!

  • Pros: Walking distance of a lot of hotels
  • Cons: it is such a great place it is always busy! that is a good con to have.

Good quick food.

by BabyHawkey at Citysearch

We went there on Fathers Day at 930, and waited about 15 min to be seated. There was free coffee while we waited. Our order was taken promptly, and our food arrived in less than 5 min. Some people say that the food is overpriced, but I dont know many places you can get an entree for less than $6-7. Will come back.

  • Pros: Good food. Free coffee while waiting for a table.
  • Cons: Waiting for a table.

Try it on my recommendation!

by reddog65 at Citysearch

I tried this breakfast place on a friends recommendation. The servers were bright and cheerful and the place was lively at 9:30am on a Tuesday. I had the Chikichanga and a blueberry pancake it was great tasting, but just too much (My eyes were bigger than my stomach). I will definitely return but order less next time.

  • Pros: No better breakfast out of my grandma's house
  • Cons: Large portions

  • Pros: NO SMOKING
  • Cons: EVERYTHING

You've Got to Be Kidding

by seamusiv at Citysearch

If this is the best Cincinnati has to offer for breakfast, then breakfast is not worth going out for... FirstWatch is basically a dressed-up Denny's, and that's being generous. With over 70 locations across the country, there is nothing original about First Watch. If you like Applebee's then this might be the place for you... If not, keep looking.

  • Pros: Consistent
  • Cons: Boring, Stale

Business people meet daily at this no-frills restaurant specializing in superb breakfasts.

by Contributor at Citysearch

In Short
First Watch restaurants have few frills decor but efficient service. On the average weekday, business people meet here over bowls of fresh fruit and mugs of joe. The Acapulco express (Mexican) and bacado (bacon and avocado) omelets are favorites, as are the skillet entrees (eggs, cheese and assorted toppings over potatoes). The banana crunch granola and the wheat germ pancakes are delicious and oversized. The BLTE sandwich (a BLT with an egg) and the Cobb salad are good for lunch.

Too Small

by Dizzy423 at Citysearch

I did not find the atmosphere inviting and it was cold. We waited too long for service. Most of all it was just too small to accomodate the crowd. That sums it up, just too small.

  • Pros: Close to home
  • Cons: Size, Parking, Atmosphere

refugeraunt

Clean, fresh air and smiles. The wait, if there is one, is an anticipation to join a celebration of peaceful mornings. For some reason smoke free envirenments are quieter. Add beautiful plate arrangements to entise your taste buds that are served with a smile and you're guarenteed a great day. Yo are waited on in a very timely manor which says there is plenty of help on board. There is never a question of "how much of a tip should I leave". The best for the the best.

  • Pros: fun, clean, taste
