Watch the Valet Staff
by Jeff F
The valet brought my brand new Escalade back to me damaged. No one seemed to really care and told me to call their toll free number to have it repaired. 10 days later I am still calling trying to get something done. Not only does the hotel show a lack of maintenance, but it's customer service is lacking too.
- Pros: It's convenient
- Cons: If they damage your vehicle- good luck
Definitely not worth the price!

My husband and I stayed here a year ago, and were pretty impressed with the hotel. However, upon returning this past weekend, we were very disappointed & will not stay again. For the price, there are many other places to stay. The rooms have been redecorated in a drab beige color with no decor at all. The hallways were also a lifeless beige with no artwork or color. When I asked the front desk about the remodeling, the clerk just told me that I was the only one who thought that way and most others liked the remodeled modern look. The lobby was being remodeled (which wasn't mentioned to me during our reservation process) and the check in staff were not very friendly (in comparison to other Westins). The room was extremely hot, and the air conditioning was not working. There was no parking, so we were forced to use valet parking. We stay at Westin's every time we travel, so I was hugely disappointed in the Cincinnati Westin. As a Starwood preferred guest, I just stayed in the Chicago Michigan Ave Westin last weekend, and was given very nice treatment. Little things, like free water in my room, mean a lot. At the Cincinnati Westin, a bottle of water in my room cost $3.75.
- Pros: Nice location, heavenly bed, heavenly bath
- Cons: Drab decorating, rooms not soundproof, very costly
Distinctive digs with modern amenities and beds so heavenly they're hard to roll out of.
