You must judge a steakhouse by the quality of its steaks. Morton's unfortunately, doesn't live up to its reputation. The steaks are generous but cooked at too high a temperature in order to serve them quickly. This results in a steak with a cool center but a too-well-charbroiled crust. If you don't like the taste of deeply charred meat (I don't), you will not enjoy your steak, no matter what temperature you order. Better meat preparation can be had at the Precinct, or Smith and Wollensky. I would avoid Morton's.
Pros: Immaculate environment.
Cons: Assembly-line steaks with no art or craftsmanship.
