Dr. Kirwin is phenomonal. He listens to you, he shares his knowledge in a way you can understand. He gives you the best treatment with your dollar in mind. He knows that in todays society, people cannot afford to pay top dollar for pet care. he knows vet service is a luxury. With that in mind, he wants to keep his patients healthy and keep the owners happy. He knows if he charges an insane amount, then peopel will stop taking their pets to him, or stop taking their pets anyplace at all. And since he doesn't want that, he wants all pets to have the best health care, he keeps his prices low. And most of all, he is great with the animals! He is young and energetic and obviously very knowledgable. We have taken 3 dogs to him, one of which did not survive a severe illness. But he was great and concerned when we went through that and referred us to the CARE center. He will sit and talk to you as long as you want about your pet and your concerns, he is not "all business" and in a hurry to shoo you out the door like many other vets.He is reassuring when you're concerned for your pets health, as we were convinced our new pound puppy had canine distemper. He said he doubted it, but that he could test for it if we wanted. But he wanted to save us money and not do something unless absolutely necessary, which it ended up NOT being necessary, and our pup recovered after an overnight stay there. I've only seen him with dogs, and he is gentle but firm with them, and he'll always compliment you. I'm sure he has bad days, but I've never seen one from him! The staff is also great. They communicate well and are very good at their jobs, which can be demanding and dirty. I'd reccommend him and the Day Heights Vet Clinic to anyone! And just for reference, I am a vet school dropout. I've worked with many, many vets over the years, and he is by far the best I've seen. he could easily be rolling in the big bucks at a high dollar hospital, but he stays right in his little Milford Office.

Pros: Everything, Dr. Kirwin

Cons: None

We have four dogs and as you can imagine we visit the vet very often. Dr. Kirwin is a great vet and offers excellent advice and keeps in mind your budget. The staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. After visiting several vet clinics in the past, this is the one we are staying with for good. Highly recommended.

Pros: Great staff and excellent Vet (Dr. Kirwin).

Cons: NONE

A very compassionate and caring staff. Dr Manharth, an associate is probably the most compassionate vet I have met. She is inteliigent, sensitive, and personable. It is very evident that she loves animals. Two years ago, she made a diagnosis of liver disease on my 7 year old male border collie. I was referred to the CARE Center for treatment. Dr Manharth consulted with the specialists and stayed very involved with my dog's treatment. Although he only survived an additional 5 months, I'm grateful for the love and care Dr Manharth and the staff gave to "my boy". Dr Manharth was honest and very compassionate when the decision had to be made about terminating life. Thank you for your compassion, concern, and excellent care.

We started taking our dogs to Dr. Kirwin after we were not 100% satisfied with our previous vet. On our first visit, Dr. Kirwin diagnosed our eight-year old mixed breed with diabetes. He fully explained what we could expect and worked diligently with us to find the proper treatment for our dog. As Dr. Kirwin had cautioned, our dog developed cataracts after about a year. Within months he was almost completely blind. Dr. Kirwin helped guide us through the process of working with the opthomoligist and surgeons who treated our pet. He went so far as to call other specialists across the country so that he was able to give us the proper information for our dog's situation. After the successful surgery was complete, we have had to make adjustments to managing the diabetes with a lot of help from Dr. Kirwin. He also has been a great liason between us and the various specialists who have treated our dog over the last 18 months. Dr. Kirwin has provided excellent care to our pets. I highly recommend that you trust him to care for your animals.

Pros: Excellent diagnosis, Great explanations to owners, Deep knowledge

Cons: None

We switched to this Vet. after having gone to another local vet for years and I am glad we did.Dr. Kirwin is a very smart man and you can just tell he aced college. He speaks with you in detail about your pets and gives you all options for treatment. He also understands that we are not made of money but that we do want to take care of our pets. We have a doberman puppy and a 8 year old Golden retriever. He seemed to know a lot about both breeds of dogs.My husband went with me the last time and he even said he felt welcomed there ,he liked the time and knowledge of Dr. Kerwin and didn't feel like they were "TRYING" to find a way for us to spend money.I was skeptical at first because he is a young vet, but you can tell that he really likes what he is doing and he's very smart and practical.

Pros: Nice staff, Very Good , knowledgeable Vet. Good prices

Cons: Getting in and out of the parking is crowded, parking lot is small
