Friendly & attentive staff, very clean facility. Hospital staff diagnosed one condition (pneumonia), yet tested and treated for another (heart). Ran up a 7500 + bill, kept me overnight in the hospital, failed to tell me my x-ray indicated pneumonia and sent me home with untreated pneumonia. My family doctor ended up treating me for it based on their own x-rays and reports, first go round of antibiotics didn't cure it, ended up with a second and stronger kind, and steroids to get rid of it because it was left "untreated" too long. I realize the heart should be considered and taken seriously, and might have even been okay with all the unnecessary testing if they would have at least treated the pneumonia they discovered!
Pros: Super friendly and attentive staff
Cons: My condition was left untreated, sent home worse than I arrived

WOW! Did you spend more time typing or fabricating your story? Lets make this short and to the point. First after doing some reserch it seems that you didn't do any driving for a local EMS. 2nd Mercy Clermont has won numerous awards and is rated as one of the top hospitals in the area. Being in the hospital at the same time this is one good story, If I had that much time I would get involved in community or do something positive in the area.

Clermont Mercy Hospital is the poorest excuse for a hospital I have ever seen. This evening my husband had an extremly bad headache, dizziness and numbness in his extremities and was taken, by ambulance, to CMH. The EMT had to wait 20 minutes for a nurse to give his report to. My husband was signed in by a registar and 1/2 hour later a nurse came in to take medical history and vitals. His BP was 165/100. After that he was seen by nobody! No nurse, no doctor, no tech, no body. It was not a busy night, there were no other ambulances that came in while we were there. There were other patients in some of the other rooms, but it wasn't packed. He was given nothing for his BP, nothing for his pain, nothing to drink. After 2 1/2 hours we decided to leave and told some person that was setting in the nurses station. We were told to wait a minute and that the nurse would speak with us in a minute, after another 20 minutes we started walking out. We saw the nurse and told her that my husband was leaving and why. She simply said "Okay, Good luck to you", and that was it. Now I am no doctor but I know enough to know that my husband went in to the hospital with something that could have been very serious, ie; TIA, Stroke ect. and all he got was a 2 1/2 hour wait and Good luck to you? While we were there I saw no patient care given to anyone really. Nurses pushed their C.O.W.s (Computer On Wheels) around but that was it. This is not the only time this has happened. What makes it worse is that I use to run life squad in Clermont County and for years CMH ER has been going down hill. Hospital Drive would be a great place to build a hospital with doctors and nurses that care and are willing to do their jobs. PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE, DO NOT TAKE A LOVED ONE TO CLERMONT MERCY HOSPITAL, TAKE THEM TO A HOSPITAL THAT WILL GIVE PROPER PATIENT CARE AND IN A TIMELY MANNER, THAT HAVE PROFESSIONALS THAT KNOW HOW AND ARE WILLING TO DO THEIR JOBS. Signed L. Felts
Pros: Close to home
Cons: Patient care
