Reeked of marijuanna
by timz28
I dropped off my z28 to get fixed and upon entering the building I smelled marijuanna reeking from the back room. I did go ahead and let him give me an estimate, it took about 20 min. I decided to go with someone else to get it fixed.
thought that this was very unprofessional
Unprofessional Operation
by DropItNow
I dropped my Camaro off at Russ's to get the speedometer looked at. he gave me a quote ($300) and I went to pick my car up and it wasnt there. after waiting for about 10 minutes he pulled in and said he was out looking for a used part for it. he originally told me he was puting a new part in it. the problem had already been diagnosed so there was no reason for him to be driving it. needless to say i was very upset. i ended up getting it fixed for $200 from a guy that was up front and honest with me throughout the process. i strongly discourage anyone from taking their car to this guy.
- Cons: everything i stated in the review
Nice Job

I have a 2006 Scion and my speedometer and odometer quit working. It was out of warranty and was referred to Russ's by my dealership. They had me bring my car to their shop in Sharonville and I had it checked out. They then had me make an apt to bring it in for repair. I dropped it off to them about s week later(my delay not theirs). He had it fixed the next day. Very prompt and professional. I would recommend them again..as I am now.
- Pros: Prompt Service
- Cons: Hard to get out of their shop onto busy street.

My Jeep
by jcb4life
Russ came down to work on my vehicle a couple months ago. The speedometer only worked for a month and a half. He charged me nearly $400 for a gear and a speedometer cable. I found out soon after that my vehicle does not even have a speedometer cable! I found out he replaced a $7.00 gear (and charged me 400). He also stated he changed my front brake pads and rotors. He charged me nearly 300 dollars for this. When i had a mechanic look at it, he said he changed the $40 brake pads and that was it. He charged me nearly $700 for $47 in parts. also, he drained the fluid out of my transfer case and didnt put it back and the vehicle wont go in 4 wheel drive! I went to his shop and he basically shooed me out and kept saying "i'm a good technician..." no you are not. the reason the speedometer didnt work right was because he put the gear on wrong! what a joke! i am in the process of suing him in small claims court, im just waiting on my attorney to process the paperwork
- Pros: none
- Cons: all
