I get my nails done quit often and have for several years now. I normally go to Sableux Salon and Spa, but recently the girl I liked to use left after having her baby! I am so sad to see her go! My last experience at this salon was awful! My girl friend and I went to get our nails done together. The lady who did my manicure and pedicure smelled like a combo of perfume and cigarette smoke.....NASTY! She was not that great with my cuticles and kinda rough. Her massage was great but I wasn't booked for a massage, I was booked for a nail tech to polish my nails better then me! I was shooked! She hurt me while doing some of the pedicure, my big toe sill hurts! She was quick, but again I wasn't looking for speed. I wanted to experience the 'Spa' treatment I paid for! Lets not even talk about the poilsh.......I could have done a better job! My girl friend wasn't that impressed either. Her person seemed mad and like she would rather have been anywhere else. I have heard stories about the staff there and the management, personally I think the girls are miserable! I am done giving them my money and think I will try Cloud 9 or Vintage! Maybe there my feet will feel good after spending close to $100 and not sore! Sableux looks pretty, SOME of the staff is overly nice but the talent is simply not there! Dont waste your money there are better places out there.....we just have to find them!!!!!
Pros: atmosphere
Cons: unprofessional staff

I went to Sableux for a haircut and asked for an inch to be taken off. She cut my hair up to my shoulders, about 4 inches more than I asked to be cut. I was so upset I didn't know what to do. A few months later I went to a new salon for a trim and the stylist there noticed the underneat hair was cut inches shorter than the outside layers. Apparently the stylist at Sableux cut my first layer of hair so short that she had to cut the rest short to cover the mistake. As the new stylist let new layers of hair down to trim she said they got longer and longer almost like layered but the opposite way. I don't know if this makes sense, but all in all she really screwed up my hair!

I was very dissapointed. I have been a customer at Sableux for years. I made an appointment for two back to back sessions. They reversed the appointments. I had never said anything before when mistakes were made, but this time I decided to say something. They said it was not their fault. I was stunned. They could at least have apologized and said they didn't know how the error was made. I guess they think they are the best salon in town and it doesn't matter. Good customer service does mean something so I went to another salon today. They were okay, but I wil still never go back to Sableux. I am looking for another upscale salon. I understand there are some in Cincinnati. Chappies might be good here in Northern Kentucky. I don't know, but I know one thing. I will never go back to Sableux. That man was just too rude. I wonder if they know what he is failing to say.
Pros: Atmosphere
Cons: Customer Service

Ok when isnt a massage good? I waited 3 weeks trying to book a hot rock massage to spend my gift certificates that i received from christmas.... I have had 3 hot rock massages in the past from another salon.. I must admit that I will continue to go to that salon before I would come back to Sableux Salon and Spa... I think I was actually this guy's first massage he has ever given... it was a total waste of my gift certificates.... I wish I would have just come in and bought products and left the massaging to the other salon..... I do say that the entire staff is very professional and the atmosphere is very nice... the talent is just not there... I saw another person leaving and couldnt believe i overheard her saying while paying it was for a cut and color... she looked as though she just crawled out of bed... being a former hairdresser I would have never allowed a client to leave the shop looking like that.... amazing....If you want to spend the type of cash they charge for their services I recommend you go over to the crescville mall in the same parking lot and get a much better job where the talent is what you pay for not the looks.
Pros: none
Cons: lacking talent

I have gone there twice and will never go back. Not only are the stylists very judgmental, they don't listen to what you want. I told the girl (whose name has left my memory) that I wanted my hair to fall just below my shoulders. She ended up cutting it clear to my chin. She asked if I wanted it styled and I told her I didn't need it, but if she could think of something neat to do, go ahead. Big mistake! She curled my new short bob (that I did not request) completely under, and curled my bangs upward making me look like a total freak! As soon as I got to the car, I started to cry. I brushed the nasty hair she made and put it into a ponytail--well what i could get up. By far the worst haircut ever. And that's not the end: She colored my hair. I wasn't sure of the shade I wanted. I told her I liked the lighter of the two she showed. During the big reveal, I told her it was okay, a little darker than I had hoped, but I thought I could get used to it. She says, "Great! I went ahead and used the darker color!" Uh, hello?! That's not what we decided. Don't go here ever.

Cons: Everything

It's just okay. The staff are friendly but unprofessional and seem inexperienced. I've been there 3 times and its always the same. Not to mention that the floor is always covered with hair! I've never in my life been to a salon where they didn't clean up the cut hair immediately after the customer left - but they don't do that here! It is disgusting! I was there for an evening appointment and the floor literally was covered! I'll probably go back again just because it's closeby and I've yet to find any other salons in the area (I'm new to the city) but I'm definitley looking around for a more upscale salon.
Pros: Friendly staff, easy appointments, convienent
Cons: Don't sweep up the hair, Unexperienced, Unprofessional

I have been going to this salon for over a year now and it is god send to me! The people there a so friendly and are not one bit snoody! If you have not been to this salon but have heard about it, I highly recomend that you at least go and see for yourself! You will stay there for time to come. They listen to you and don't recomend stupid hair styles to you that would look horrific on you. They listen to what you want and do just that! Also, the spa portion is so nice! Try it and see what you think! You'll love it!
Pros: Inexpensive, Never crowded, Alway conveinent

Although I was having a hair removal service, I have to say this was as enjoyable as possible! I was 30 minutes late for my appointment, yet the young man at the desk was able to find another aesthetician to take care of me. And best of all, the waxing hurt less than any I have ever had. And she even recommended a facial toner that I LOVE!!!! It smells like chamomille!
Pros: Accomidating, Friendly, NiceProductSelectio

I had a facial, lip and eyebrow waxing. The waxing was a easy as it could possibly be. But the facial was great. Not only was the face cleansing part nice, but she massage my neck and shoulders while I had a face mask on. This was really relaxing. And my skin was glowing when I left.
Pros: Friendly, On Time
