What A Nice Place

by 2manydvds

I stayed in the carriage house one of four rooms in June of 2000, came back this year for a visit with friends and family. WoW! What a change...The whole yard and off street parking, a fountian, and they even added cable T.V. with DVD players ( yes they do rent DVD's ) . The breakfast area is larger and more personal with tables for two, four, six, eight, & 10, very nice. Bernie is still there, Don passed away 2006, but his nephew Anthony now manages the business for him and Bernie cooks. The place was clean, neat, and the New Staff-Very attentive. Need a dinner reservation or a taxi, or Limo just ask and its done! WOW, his nephew has made this already wonderful place to stay, too this A more relaxing place to be pampered, or to just get away from the kids. I have already booked for next year. they do have a web sit amosshinklebnb or call and ask for Anthony or Bernie.

One of the most beautiful places to sleep in Cincinnati is across the river.

In Short
This seven-room B&B is in the heart of Covington's historic Riverside District and it's the only area B&B listed by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. It features a delicate cast-iron filigree porch, an Italianate doorway, grand stair hall with elaborate crown moldings, and 16-foot-high ceilings. Every room has a private bath and antique furniture. The Amos Shinkle Room has a whirlpool tub and a crystal chandelier in the bathroom.
