What an awesome experience! I booked my first appointment at Tanya's and was a little nervous since I have curly hair that has been messed up terribly before. The front desk made me feel very comfortable over the phone and made me feel like I'd be in the right hands. My appointment was with Lanna, and she was incredible! She treated me like we've known each other for years, listened to what I like and dislike about my hair, and gave me suggestions about what kind of cut I need, how to style it and what kind of products to use. And the haircut she gave me was the best I've ever had. I left Tanya's feeling happier than I've ever felt with a salon/stylist and I will definitely be making regular visits to see her. I recommend this salon and Lanna to anyone!

• Pros: incredible service, talented and professional staff, fun atmosphere.
• Cons: hard to find parking.

you NEED to go to Tanya's!!!

So if you're looking for a salon, I highly, highly HIGHLY recommend Tanya's Image & Wellness Salon in Hyde Park. You can see it from the street from Hyde Park Square. It's as appealing inside as it is from the outside. It's got a very modern and comfortable feel. Even coming from a barber-shop-only background of haircuts, i didn't feel awkward or out of place at all with it being in such a high end area.

Lanna cut my hair and she was AMAZING!!! Honestly, it was the best haircut i've ever had..and i've had my share of haircuts. It also came with a complimentary mini-facial and arm & hand massage. I DID feel a little strange about this at first, but you only live once...and it was free! The massage was glorious and the facial actually turned out to be pretty nice. Lanna did an amazing job with everything and i'm definitely going back to her!!

All in all, the people, the location, the appearance AND the product all made the experience worth talking about. You should definitely go and find out for yourself. The information is below.

Incredible Massage!

Please go to Tanya's Image and Wellness salon for your next massage! Julie is fantastic! I've had many massages in the city, and even in many other countries, and she was the best. She's got great pressure and all your aches and pains are gone after an hour with her. She let's you relax instead of talking to you like some other therapists might do, too.

Trust me, I'm picky with my massage therapists. Tanya's is a really relaxing, laid-back escape from the day to day grind.

Never had a better cut or color!

I'm not usually the type to leave reviews, but I have tell spread the word about Tanya's. I am new to the area and went into the salon blindly with a coupon I'd gotten in the mail. I was able to get in that same week, I was greeted so kindly when I go there, and wow, is it comfy and fun in there! I was booked with a stylist named Fayme who really listened to what I wanted and had her own advice for what would work well with my hair type. She even helped me match my hair to my style and attitude. She took plenty of time with me, and I left with my hair looking better than ever. The whole process was so much fun and I felt right at home...can't wait to go back.

• Pros: Fun attentive staff, welcoming atmosphere, high end product lines, evening appts available
• Cons: Parking is tight but there is a lot right behind the salon that is almost always available.

I got the best haircut ever.

I was looking for a new stylist, and a friend suggested Tanya's to me. I had an appointment with Sam, and he gave me the absolute best cut and color I've ever had. Not only was it exactly what I wanted, but it has been growing out so well since I got it cut. And the entire staff was so enthusiastic and fun that I felt great when I left. My only complaint--they're so busy it's hard to get the appointment you want. So be ready to plan your next cut about a month in advance. I can't wait to get mine.

• Pros: Great staff, nice ambiance, hand massages while you get your shampoo!
• Cons: parking can be a pain, hard to get the appointment you want

Best Salon & Spa ...Great Customer Service

I LOVE TANYAS!!! The front desk is great! Everyone made me feel welcomed & comfortable. I was offered tea & a snack while I waited (only 1 minute). My hair expert was Kimie. She is AWESOME! I love my color & cut. There was no sales pressure, however I made my next appointment before I left, This place is heaven. After my hair appointment, she also touch-up my make-up....no salons does that! I am going back to have a manicure, pedicure & facial this weekend. Again.....TANYAS is the place to be in Cincinnati, if you want great color & cut & treated with RESPECT by all employees.

Owner is Wonderful

I work at Tanyas and I've never worked with such wonderful people, and I've never been so happy with a workplace before! Everyone makes it a point to really make their clients day. We are a team here, and Tanya is an excellent boss. She has great care for us, and her clients. Tanyas Image and Wellness Salon is a very relaxed and fun enviorment. I am always referring people, and they are ALWAYS very satisfied!!! If you haven't made it in yet, we'd love to see you!

Bad Customer Service

I had an appointment at the new Tanya's Salon over in Crestview Hills but the stylist never showed up! The receptionist was apologetic and tried repeatedly to get the stylist on the phone while I waited for almost 30 minutes. All I wanted was to get my hair cut but I was never offered the opportunity to have a different stylist in the salon cut my hair that day.

I never received a follow up phone call to apologize for the inconvenience I was subjected to - not even after I emailed the salon's customer service department. Obviously this salon does not care about its clients and is defenitely not reccomended due to its total disregard for customer service.

Great place for Massages

I disagree with the review that was given on 9/28/05. Tanya's place is great. I am a customer and I have never had any problems. Sometimes customers can be wrong, but don't like to admit it. Yes its a known fact that in the customer service business the phrase " the customer is always right" is the main motto. But sometimes that just isn't so. Sometimes customers can be snobs. At Tanya's Image and Wellness salon they do their best to help you whether it be your getting a new hair style or a basic massage. Everyone who is a customer wants to get the best treatment, I mean who doesn't but if there is a problem talk to the person in charge and if your not satisfied get an answer until you are. Don't whine about it.

Tanya's is great. I highly recommend this salon.

Clientele's Time Is of No Value

This salon is fine with their staff giving incorrect or even outrights lies to their patrons. Their attitude is the workers time is infinitely more valuable that the people paying for services. The management can only say they will "look into it" & "will speak with Tanya" about the practice. They make no effort to accommodate clients.
