An absolute staple for Cincy folk. This Greek-style chili (rich, semi-sweet meat sauce atop spaghetti noodles and crowned with a mountain of shredded cheddar) is a must when in town. Ask for a 5-way "dry" and try a cheese Coney or two on the side. It's bizarre but oddly addictive.

Cheap? NO WAY!!. Skyline is definitely NOT cheap!!!! A couple of three ways and drinks are pushing up around $15 now, with tip and all. Given how cheap the ingredients are, they'd be making a profit if they cut their prices in HALF!!

A Hometown Favorite. Cincinnati is well known for its distinct Skyline Chili. You either love it or hate it. The chili has a hint of chocolate and a lot of cinnamon, giving it a very unique flavor. You'll find it very addicting!

Skyline wil never add up. Skyline always tends to be a step behind GoldStar, adding the same items to the menu to keep up with the variety of the latter. The chili is more lacking in spice and flavor than other chilis thru-out the tristate area...highly overrated

It's different - accept it!. As expected, the reviews of Skyline are love-it-or-hate-it. I love it, but that's because I approach Skyline with the understanding it is not "normal" chili. Think of it as ground beef in a uniquely-spiced broth, and go from there. This is the kind of chili you get in some places on hamburgers and hotdogs. In that context, it's awesome!

Unique Gourmet.
Cincinnati chili is a local phenomenon that is under appreciated. This unique meat sauce chili is like no other anywhere, and nowhere can you find a city with a "chili parlor", let lone a hundred of them!
In my opinion Skyline is the founder, and deserves the credit for making it a Cincy tradition. Runner up is the Camp Washington chili parlor for the greatest chili and becoming THE landmark chili parlor.

Miss it!. Since I've moved away from Cincinnati, I really miss Skyline Chili and go there every time I am on a trip back home. In fact, I just went there a year ago when I visited. And it looks like it has been around since 1949 - the year I was born. I didn't realize that.
