Not pampering and pretty outdated ... I'd skip it.. First, I made last minute appointments for a Saturday mani/pedi, facial and haircut/highlight, so maybe I should have known when they fit me in that it wasn't very good.

My manicure ($22) and pedicure ($55) were not very relaxing at all. For the pedicure I was in a bare room with uncomfortable chairs (no massage chair) and a woman who didn't seem to have a good handle on the instruments. She was pretty new, but I was at least hoping for a comfy room with comfy chairs. The manicure was about as uneventful possible. No soaking or anything. Trim, file, and polish (I have short nails and only use clear for now.) NOT worth $22.

My facial was okay and was pretty fair-priced ($65). However, the room was right off of the hair floor so it was so very loud and distracting. The bed wasn't very comfortable and I was a bit cold for the service. The esthetician was okay, but nothing special about the facial.

I was recommended to go to the salon to get my hair cut/colored by one specific stylist. I decided to donate some hair to Pantene Beautiful Lengths, so I took a chance going to someone new for a haircut that drastic! She did a consult on the color, cut off my ponytail to donate, and then had to rush to color me (they didn't schedule any time in between appointments, so I was late to the hair appointment by about 10 minutes... again, not relaxing!) The color turned out well, but she did cut my hair too short. I am only a bit disappointed because I had a specific picture to follow. It will grow out. So, the only disappointing part about this service was the price. I scheduled and thought I was getting a cut and highlight. Turns out I got a cut, highlight, color and toner. So, instead of something like $110 for the hair, it was $170! I don't want to commit to that every 6-8 weeks! YIKES!

Overall, if you spend $321 + tip in a salon, you want to walk out feeling refreshed. I felt okay, but definitely not pampered. Oh well! Live and learn!

Get Beautiful with Rachel Stone. I've been going to Rachel Stone for a few years now and I couldn't be more pleased. With here services and personality I've never left unhappy. Her manicures are fantastic and her pedicures are the best in the city.
