Best Chicken. There are many great restaurant choices in our area, but we repeatedly go back to the Silver Spring House, because of the casual atmosphere and especially the chicken. The chicken is always moist and delicious thanks to their marinade and grilling. There is no overwhelming sauce or smoke flavor..it tastes like real chicken, but with a great citrus flavor. Also worth mentioning, the sweet potato fries and salads and an on tap beer selection of Guiness, my hubby's fave, and Blue Moon, which is perfect with the chicken. I've been in the high end restaurant biz for some time and I always appreciate an easy-going place with consistently good casual fare. The service is also good, but more consideration for WHEN each course arrives would be the one area needing attention.

Overdone Dried Chicken:. Maybe I'm too picky but we went there a couple of weeks back. My wife was furious she spent money on overdone, dried out chicken. My wife and son both ordered their specialty chicken dinner, I ordered the Buffalo Chicken sandwich and my daughter, a vegetarian, the sweet potato and black bean corn salad. With the exception of the black bean corn salad, all was bad. The chicken, both the dinners and the sandwich were so overcooked you could barely get them down (and I'm not exaggerating). The Saratoga chips were old and stale, the BBQ sauce is NOT good and the sweet potatoes were in a holding cabinet too long. Maybe it's because I worked in restaurants 17 years I'm so picky, but all I expect is decent food at a fair price.

Ambience is decent, but not much better than a sports bar. Would not go back. Popcorn and server were good.

Casual, Upbeat Place to Eat/Sip/Relax. This place always has a good crowd of people laughing and having fun. More times than not, it is like walking on the old Cheers set! Go in moody, and leave happy!

The food is good but it is the casual, update, "neighborly" service that makes it a fun place to be! Usually, you can see families and work parties eating, drinking, and have a lot - and I mean, I lot - of laughs!

The patio and "open air" environment is especially a great way to enjoy your time out.

Great Place To Enjoy Summer Weather. My husband and I love going to this chicken joint when the weather is nice. It has a great covered deck/patio and drinks. Lots of chicken sandwiches and other casual fare.

50. This little neighborhood dive is actually not so much a dive anymore...the outdoor patio has been finished with a brand new sizey bar, and more tables. the friendly service is one reason i frequent this place often...Randy the bartender is great, and if your lucky, he may even get your next drink...
