This course officially "arrived" on the Cincinnati public course scene in the '80s, when it was named to the "Golf Digest" list of 100 Top Public Courses in the US, and hosted the 1987 US Public Links Championship. Nowadays, it is host to a good deal of evening league play, so the greens are kept longer than one might expect from a course of recent championship status.
