After getting quotes from Home Depot, Lowes, Mees, Ohio Granite and Marble and several others for granite counter-tops and back-splashes, we selected Kemper Design for several of reasons, including price. First, the staff of Kemper Design e-mailed an actual bid to us so we could see the cost of the work. Included in the bid were categories A, B, C, D and E (the categories into which the granite prices fall). Every granite displayed in the showroom fell into one of the categories. With Kemper's bid, we could see what materials from every category cost without needing another bid if we wanted to check prices between each type of granite. Their bid price was the final price! After selecting granite slabs from a supplier they were shipped to Kemper Design for fabrication. The fabrication manager requested a meeting to discuss the material. Upon arriving to examine the slabs, the manager disclosed numerous flaws in the granite and stated these slabs did not possess qualities of good slabs. The fabrication manger returned the inferior product to the supplier and recommended another supplier who provided higher quality slabs. This undoubtedly saved us thousands of dollars. Upon installing the granite, it became obvious the craftsman from Kemper Design offer remarkable craftsmanship in regards to their work. The templates made fit perfect in a complicated layout and the granite went in just as it should. Several competitors wanted to install as many as four seams for our counters; Kemper Design fabricators made one seam. And the seam they installed ended up less than 1/16 of an inch wide; it's hard to notice the seam unless you look for it. Upon installation the installer noticed one minor dull spot and requested his installation manager to buff-out the dull spot. It's now flawless. By far, selecting Kemper Design this proved to be the best home improvement decision we made. Their employees truly keep the interest of the customers first. Thank you.
