Great people. I have been going to this place for over 20 years and always have had good service and equipment. I was contacted by the owner to write a comment about the review below tina48 because I was there. If you notice there is a comment about the review but I can only write less than 500 characters in the comment, and it does not do it justice. so I am writing a review about the review below. I was contacted because I was 1 or 3 customers on Saturday 5/21/11 and all customers were men. I noticed a man yelling and screaming at an employee behind the counter. I was a little upset with the man yelling, he was very disrespectful to the employee. The employee handled it very well and was very professional about it. The man which is obvious Tina48 continued to yell and scream at the employee. The employee told him very kindly to leave. Tina48 then threaten to jump over the counter and beat him up. The employee then called the police and the police then escorted the "young man" tina48 off the property. I witness the entire scene. Whoever Tina48 shouldn't be writing a bad review about handy tool rental he should be writing about himself. Personally if I was the employee, I would have punched his lights out. Now you know the true story.

Please heed advice - The worse tool rental place!!. This is absolutely the worst place to rent equipment. It will be old! I guarantee it!! Then you have to waste your precious time trying to convince them of that on the phone. Then you have to waste even more time taking the damn thing back. Then you have to waste your money becaue it is non-refundable. They are the worst! The customer service stinks. They are rude! I watched them rudely tell a young guy to leave their establishment because he asked if they would refund him because of broken equipment. Please, please do not rent from them!!!

Great service. Been going here for over 30 years. They have always made my jobs easier. It seems all the employees there work there for their entire career. There is something to say about that. They are knowledgeable and are always friendly.

Friendly service. I am a middle age woman and never rented anything before. Last year we had a bad wind storm and I could not get anybody to cut up a tree that fell in my yard for at least 4 weeks, so I decided to rent a chain saw. I was scared, I don't use a lot of tools especially a saw. I went to Handy Tool Rental to rent a saw. They were very helpful and understanding with my fears. They were very nice and informative on how to use the saw. They went the extra mile. I was comfortable when I left and was determined to cut this tree. Well, I cut up the tree and was very happy with the saw. I'm no longer afraid to rent tools matter of fact I have rented several things after the saw. I can't say enough. I would highly recommend them, they are nice and down to earth.

Friendly and knowledgeable people. I've been doing business for over 20 years with these guys. I own a construcion company and we come in weekly and not one time did we ever have a problem with any of their equipment. I like coming to these guys because they know you by your first name. They are friendly and very knowledgeable. It is nice to see the same people working behind the counter for over 20 years. Most companies can not say that. They treat you like family and it makes me want to come back. If you are doing any project or remodeling these are the guys you want to see. Everybody in my line of work say the same thing. Go see Handy they got it. I would highly recommend them.

owner of a family owned business. we have been in business for over 48 years. and always tried to give the customer the best service and equipment. The customer below rented a log splitter over the 4th of july weekend picked it up friday 2 pm and returned 9 am monday. We charged him 1 1/2 days. he brought back monday, return line was leaking. we gave him an option of charging 1 day and starting over or 1 1/2 days and he can finish his job. He said he only needed 1 more hour to finish the job. we gave him another splitter for free to finish his job. He could not start it. he brought it back, we started it right away. We gave him another one. He brought back 2 1/2 hours later and he finished his job, we charged him no extra time, it was free, but he wanted to get his money back for 1/2 day. he had it for 3 days and we only charged him 1 1/2 days. Anything mechanical can go wrong, example flat tire, rope pulled out are only some. He finished his job but wanted money back. You can read these comments and decide for yourself if you want to rent from us or not.

Handy Tool Rental = Unreliable Equipment, Rude Service. Handy Tool Rental = Unreliable Equipment, Dreadful, Insulting, Rude Service. The price may be competitive, but if you need to make multiple trips because things break down, it may not be worth it. I would not recommend their service. Some employees could use some customer service and communication training. I had a series of jobs I was going to rent equipment for, and now I am going to a competitor - and recommend others to do so as well.

The best tool rental in the city. they have good equipment and great service. they are friendly and fast.
