Tips for Cd Warehouse

gamecubes for 20 bucks, controllers 7.50 at cd warehouse.... try getting that deal on amazon or ebay. this place has good deals. i think people who give bad reviews need to realize that they have a box full of junk that nobody would ever want...

i like this place.... even though it smells inside

Dishonest Business Man. What He Does Is A Crime.. He knowingly buys stolen merchandise. He sells DVD's before the release date at an escalated price, usually $10.00 to $12.00 more than original cost and that's not counting his mark up of $6.00 to $8.00 more than Walmart, Best Buy or any store that sells DVD's. He will give you less than half of what they will give you at Buy Backs for used DVD's or games. I am in the process of finding his DVD supplier to see what he thinks about Garner selling DVD's before release date. Beware this guy is dishonest and I am going to do everything in my power to expose him for the thief he is. Hopefully, Willie will be honest enough to tell the truth when the FTC gets involved. I believe he is a God Fearing Man.

Terrible. Although CD Warehouse has a big selection, everything is highly overpriced. I visited buybacks (the movie store right next to them) before coming in and I noticed all of CD Warehouses movies are priced between 5-10 dollars more than the average sell price. They do have the benefit of haggling their prices and they said they will sell there items cheaper than there competitors next door, but when I got home the movies wouldn't even play on my dvd player.

Don't waste your money here.

To describe them simply, they are overpriced and a complete rip off.

Best customer service EVER!!. This has got to be the best place to go for customer service whether you are buying or selling!!! I went in to sell some old cd's and dvd's and was looking for a specific CD that I havent been able to find anywhere! The gentleman working there gave me a quote on my old stuff AND found the out of print CD for me-ordered it for me- and it was there the next day!

He also informed me that they give more for your old stuff if you buy it there in the first place and sell it back when it's in high demand. The more copies they already have of whatever you're selling the less you might get for it because they have to sell through those before they get to yours.

Very cool store too! It's in an old pool hall, their front counter is an old bar and the whole store is stuffed full of cool things like posters, t-shirts, incence, incence holders, new and used cd's-dvd's-and games, game systems, ipods, the list goes on! I could spend hours in there looking at everything.

I highly recommend this store!!!!

Don't sell here. I went to this location of CD Warehouse today in an attempt to sell a few CDs and DVDs for some badly needed cash. My wife and I spent an hour or so doing research on going rates for CDs to avoid getting ripped off before we went and that really, really came in handy here.

First, the guy at the desk didn't look too closely at the stock I was trying to sell, then he asked what I wanted for them. I was taken aback, expecting for him to examine the merchandise then make an offer based on reasonable prices, etc. Instead, he insisted and offered a lame excuse like "when you come in here wanting to buy I don't expect you to make me an offer. That's why we have price tags." Yeah, thanks for the lesson in retail.....

Of course, I hesitated as he separated the CDs into three piles and waited for him to peruse the stock (without checking a database of any sort) and he still wanted an offer from me, so I gave him one: 70 dollars. My offer was a little higher than I thought we'd get. I expected the guy to haggle (if he wanted to play that game).

Instead, he seriously low balled, offering 25 dollars with a wealth of explanations and a look at a screen from Amazon... (never mind shipping, the ability to see the product, the advantages of in stock).

I went next door to a similar store. They were courteous and professional. They used their database to check prices and inventory. They offered me more than twice what this location of CD Warehouse offered. The other store didn't try to rip me off, and they weren't rude. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same of this particular CD Warehouse and will never do business with them again.
