In Short – Vintage Coca-Cola ads and posters of Life magazine covers succinctly summon up the 1950s, as do this diner's mini-jukeboxes, red vinyl counter stools and sock-hopping staff. Besides fast food staples like hot dogs, cheeseburgers, tuna melts and onion rings, options like the Streamliner (a grilled veggie patty) acknowledge more modern dietary concerns. Even better for kids, sandwiches come wrapped in paper jackets and nearly everything is served on paper plates. No spills. No breaks. No tears.
Just an over priced Steak and Shake
by rkelsey
$28 for a burger fries and a shake? I would say the quality is average but definately not worth what they are asking! This is basically and overpriced Steak and Shake. Heck, for $28.00 treat yourself to a really nice meal somewhere! You could eat at Bennihannas, J Alexanders, well, you get the idea. By the way.... It takes forever to get served! Even when the place is empty!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (which is often at these prices and what you get in return) The lovely illegal alien staff is a definate negative too!
- Pros: 1950's Theme from the good old days
- Cons: Realizing only the theme is authentic and the food and service from that era are not!
good big burgers

Good food and drink, usually busy so service can be patchy, but definately better than frisch's.
- Pros: good original burgers
- Cons: loud if crowded
10 times better than Frisches!

Very good Hamburgers, shakes and French Fries.
A little pricey, but not as high as Fudruckers.
Servers seem overloaded.
- Pros: Hamburgers, Atmosphere
- Cons: price, service
