Poor Management, Unsafe, Poor Construction. I want to start off by saying I have lived all over the country and have had several managers to deal with. This property is by far the most unprofessional managed apartments I have ever lived in. The management, specifically the head manager Lisa, is completely rude over very simple problems. She does not know how to interact with people. I personally think she has no business being in a position that interacts with any sort of people. She shows no regard for common decency. She is the typical power hungry person. In my profession I deal with new people everyday and this woman has no idea what she is doing. She is rude, loud, disrespectful, and treats residents as if they were her children. I am a grown man and do not accept being treated this way. I would strongly advise anyone who is considering moving into these apartments to find somewhere else to live. Not to mention there have been over a dozen break ins during my 1 year duration at the complex. They did not increase security until there was well over 20 or so break ins over that year. These included several cars and an overwhelming amount of first floor apartments. Don't be fooled by all of the pretty landscaping of the property either. Everything looks great but the actual construction of the apartments are poor. All of the electrical outlets in my apartment have fallen apart, water flooded my windows destroying expensive equipment, and the dish washer has been broken for months with no help from management. From the bottom of my heart, please look elsewhere to live.…
Look elsewhere. This was the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. Many promises were made when we first considered this property, and we were deeply disappointed by a number of problems at this property. The staff is one big clique so if you complain about something valid, you are not taken seriously and appropriate correction is not made. It was difficult to get things properly fixed, our apt. had a number of problems that became more apparent the longer we lived there, and excuses were always made. This complex apparently has a long history of unhappy residents and a few possible legal issues. Some of our neighbors and people we talked with at the pool were hesitant to speak up because of intimidation and not wanting to be forced to move because of complaints. Some of the apts. were in better condition than others, and at this place, if you have connections and the staff likes you, you get treated much better. Be sure to have a nice car and that every person who visits you has a decent car as well, otherwise, you or your visitors may be approached by management. It made us very uncomfortable to even invite people over. Trash compactor broke down frequently, and stinky garbage left out in front. Difficulty getting staff to return calls or pick up phone, even when they are in office. Biggest issue was that you are promised a lot and get very little, and get shut down when you speak up. We would definitely recommend looking elsewhere, especially for the price.…
Great complex. I've lived at Deer Hill for 1 1/2 years now, even though I originally planned on being here only 6-months. I have always had really good service from the staff -- from something as simple as the management bringing popsicles to the pool goers to maintenance fixing something one hour after I've requested it. Everyone is very friendly and professional. The complex is 10-15 minutes from downtown and close to many amenities (gym, grocery, golf, etc.). The grounds are well kept and my apartment building is always dead silent. The only reason I would leave Deer Hill would be to purchase a home.…
