Sadly, a Muslim friend was treated abhorrently by the owner of this chain of stores. She was told she couldn't afford the item she was looking at, that she was a thief, and that she was not welcome in that store. All of this came straight from Ms. Donna Speigel, herself. I have e-mailed her and asked for an explanation of the events, but have not heard back from her. Please do not support intolerance. I speak on behalf of my friend as her spoken English is not as fluent as mine, which is probably why Ms. Speigel felt safe in saying all she did. I am aware that Ms. Speigel does charitable work and it pains me to speak ill of someone who does good, but that does not excuse her behavior.
