Nicknamed the "Mad Owl" when part of its sign went dark, this joint lives up to its name..
The Scene
Lots of lanes, a central location and open bowling almost anytime draws an eclectic all-ages crowd. Less updated than most alleys, don't miss the extra-dark lounge. The old black and white scoreboards will take you back to the days of Pong.
The Best
Beginners will appreciate the flashing guide lights on the pin display above each lane. They'll show you exactly where to roll to pick up everything from a routine spare to a tricky split.
The Rest
You'll pay an average $2.70 per game and $1 for shoes. Expect to pre-pay two games at the door during prime time. A full bar makes up for the absence of serious snack food. Beer is by the bottle and service is snappy at a conveniently located window.
