What People Are Saying About Arlin's Bar & Restaurant

In Short – Patrons enjoy a variety of domestic and import brews, watch the Reds on the big-screen, throw darts, shoot pool or hang out on the sun-filled patio. Adding to this mix of entertainment is open mic night, where patrons get a chance to show off their special talents. Arlin's serves standard sandwich fare during the week along with soups, salads and Tex-Mex appetizers. Things heat up on the weekends with a patio grill-out.

Best deal in UC area

by cliftonight at Citysearch

Must disagree with AmberBamber about the bartender. The bartenders are one of the things that make Arlin's entertaining, especially Jocelyn on weekdays.

(And Randall's weekend bloody mary making has become classic local theatre.)

Food, I always try to order the specials, they are often a change of pace from what is available in the area and are always a bargain, as are the drinks.

The only drawback are the regulars that are always planted at the south end of the bar. They are loud and boring and play the same bad music over and over until you have to leave. They need to go hang out at some VFW hall and free up the stools.

  • Pros: The bartenders.
  • Cons: The old guys at the end of the bar

Why is the bartender lady so mean?

by AmberBamber at Citysearch

I love Arlin's. It's my neighborhood bar. But there's a regular bartender that serves there that's just plain bitchy. I don't know her name, but it's the heavy-set, short, blonde one. One time my friend asked her to change one of the t.v.s to watch a game (there was hardly anyone in the bar) and she replied with, "Don't you have television at home?" If they got rid of her I'd go back more often. If I walk in and she's there, I leave. She's the rudest bartender I've ever met.

  • Pros: great beer, ok food, cool patio
  • Cons: mean bartender lady

Smoke smoke smoke that smoker

by smartin684 at Citysearch

Arlins would be a great bar, but the smoke permeates your pores and ruins your clothes. This place should be called the "rush hour" cause its as smokey as a highway at 5pm. Dont get me wrong, sometimes its a blast, but only try it if you can handle the air polution. I think they have a smokeeter, but I dont think its every been turned on. Get some pub grub with that smoke.

  • Pros: characters
  • Cons: smoke, more smoke, even more smoke

I had a Great time

by NewGuyCincinnati at Citysearch

I think the place has come along way. The bathrooms are decent, and the service is great. The Garden bar is very nice in the summer and fall. Don't expect to be entertained by the bartends and you will not be dissapointed. And if you come across a Beggar, you can always say no. P.S Also love the LIVE Entertainment And Open Mic Night.

  • Pros: Gay Friendly, Large Draft Beer Sec, Pool Table

...where everybody knows your name

by scorpgdss at Citysearch

Arlin's in Clifton is a laid-back, friendly bar, with devoted patrons. A far cry from the "Main Street" crowd. A good place for a cheap pitcher, great music, and lively conversation.

  • Pros: cheap beer prices, friendly bartenders, eclectic crowd
  • Cons: only one pool table, only one dart board
