We went to Sitwells to hear Katie Laur's band play. The band was great but the owner of the place was so rude and mean to people we ended up just leaving. I heard a rumor that she tried to get the band to give her the tips that people tossed into the guitar case. I hope thats not true but if it is, she should be ashamed and everyone should demand the money back...the food we ordered was also just awful. We ended up throwing it away after paying $12 for two coffee's. How can you mess up a couple of coffees so badly. She tried to sit 3 people down at our little one person table. When we complained that she was creating a fire trap she said, just get out of here. So we did. What a dump this place has become and it doesn't look like it is going to get any better.

Whatever happened to Sitwell's?I went into Sitwell's yesterday for a large Mocha , and walked out with a luke warm coffee to start my day off.The service used to be kickin! The energy was good in the morning .Now, when I walk in ,I see the Manager/owner being rude to employees and customers.Bad-Bad-Bad!!!!The food is not as good as it used to be.Expensive and lacking in something.Id rather go to the highland coffee house , where the service is friendly.

I don't know what's gotten into this place in the past month, but it's gone downhill. It was closed for about a week or so, for some reason, around Labor Day and ever since it's reopened every experience I've had as been...uncomfortable. I live right around the corner, so I frequent the place. My experience this morning is a good example of what this place has to offer. I walked in to order an iced mocha and an egg sandwich with cheese, green peppers, and onions. What I got when I left was a disgusting iced coffee (no cream, whipped cream, chocolate...and oh, by the way, it was $4.50...) and an egg sandwich with just egg and tomato. The whole thing cost a ridiculous $10.00, which did not correlate with what the menu said. The owner (the lady that's in there all the time) is mean. She's short with customers, and loudly rude and bossy to her employees. As a customer, I felt very uncomfortable, so much so that I didn't want to confront her about the nasty mocha and wrong-order sandwich. I ended up trashing everything on the way out the door and going to Graeter's instead. Not as cool as an atmosphere, and not as eclectic a menu, but it was calm, comfortable, and they got the coffee right. Unless this place changes soon, I will not be returning. And I know others who feel the same way.
