NK.. Repulsive.

Not only was the salon filthy, so was the equipment! There were chunks of hair in their scissors, which the stylist proceeded to use. This is not safe practice. Contaminated equipment can spread infections ( tinea capitis, impetigo,ringworm) and many other undesirable health conditions if they are not properly cleaned between each individual use. So far, 0 stars.

Now for the actual haircut...

I had a fairly intermediate hair length that required product to keep it in tact. Immediately after I sat in the chair the stylist shaved off nearly all of my hair without even asking!!! I paid the $16 despite being completely and utterly dissatisfied.

If you don't care about the outcome of your hair when going to a salon, go to NK.

Great!!!. I went in and told him how I wanted it to be, instead he did exactly what I applaud him for and did it how he though would look best. This man is a genius!!! I was worried when I came in with long hair and saw it all falling to the ground, but since that hair cut, no one can match it and I never looked better! I love it because its right down the street from UC and easy to get to! The woman there also does great waxes. I had no clue what I wanted and she just did it to match me. It was well worth the money. What have you got to loose, its only hair, it will grow back if you dont LOVE IT!!! He may seem snobby at first, but I love it, he is like a Diva with a great personality !!! Love the place!!!

Alright. I went to get my eyebrows waxed--one of my friend's looked great, and I wanted to go somewhere close to campus.

I told the woman there the shape I wanted, and although she didn't listen, my shape ended up nice. I guess she's good at the shape she knows how to do.

fast, efficent, high-quality service. The guy who owns this place is fast but precise. I came in with a bad, grown-out haircut and he fixed it perfectly within five minutes!

If you value your time, you'll value this place.

A regular haircut is $25, or $20 if you're a student. Which was a good deal to me until I discovered a barbershop on Ludlow that does it for much less (that said, the barber only cuts hair, so I still head to NK for waxes, dyeing, etc).

Also, this place has the best brow waxes in town! $15 gets your brows waxed, cut and shaped.

Very rude and unskilled. My hair was not done how I asked. The owner (I think) only wants to do things his way and made my suggestions seem irrelevant. I was treated very rudely when I said I was unhappy with the results.
