The questions are good, the host writes them or finds them, so there are some good current event questions and local trivia. The New Woody's Rocks. To the reviewer below, please get over yourself. Buzzy didn't pay his taxes (i.e. Worker's Comp) and lost his liquor license. Nice guy, horrible businessman. Hardly good for the community when you don't pay your share to the tune of nearly 40k, which hurts other businesses and the city/state in general.

John was an arrogant beer snob, who carried $8 beers 5 percent of his customers wanted, and refused to carry beers like PBR like 95 percent of the college public wanted. As a result, Mac's flourished, and Buzzy didn't have enough money to pay his share. We saw what happened, Woody's closed. And not with a bang, but with a whimper, one day there was just no Uncle Woody's anymore because Buzzy was so horrible a businessman.

To the contrary, the current owners are nice AND savvy. They listen to their customers, and not just the ones who have no lives and chain themselves to the bar so much they get their name on the wall. So they filled the nasty, disgusting pit in, big deal. Actually, now that they have, Woody's is a much more impressive place. The back room can host much bigger parties, there is seating for things like karaoke and trivia, and the whole place isn't dank like a nasty basement. They included a back bar so the front isn't so crowded. They installed a rail in the front to improve traffic flow as well. And they're committed to improving. They're smart. They care. They're not just some cartoon character who had zero business sense and gave out hugs instead of paying his bills. News flash, you don't lose a liquor license for not paying Worker's Comp for years because you get screwed out of one deal. Buzzy is a charlatan. Entertaining, nice, and a complete fraud.

The service at the new Woody's has greatly improved. This is a college bar, they can make any drink or shot their clientele needs with ease and care. The food is much improved, don't just write this place off, their burger is AMAZING and was recently a finalist for Best Burger in the nation on Regis and Kelly.

I know a lot of feelings were hurt when Buzzy closed down and a new crew came in. I know people are whiners about any kind of change, but this is the quintessential college bar owned by a couple whose sole goal with it is to create a friendly, inviting, and warm atmosphere. I'm a UC Alum. I frequented the old Woody's and I frequent this one. This one is better. I miss Jimbo, sure. But I don't just hate the new because it's not the old. Anyone who does is missing out.…

Woody's is amazing. The new owners are amazing. John and Lori are great people. I am a senior at UC and was going to Woody's when Buzzy owned the place and Woody's was just another bar. Now that John and Lori own the place its my visit in between classes its the place I wanna go every night. John and Lori knew my name by the second time I came into the bar. They always gave great service and I don't know what tallmarkh was talking about but Lori gives the best hugs. Woody's is a place where I can go to relax or have a great time. Lunch up there is the best. John and the other cook make amazing food and Lori is always right on top of things making sure your drink is full and if you need anything they will always go out of their way to help you. I would recommend Woody's to anyone that wanted to have a good time. When I look back at my college life the new Woody's with John and Lori running the place is going to be what I remember and enjoyed the most. Not the old Woody's.…
