Found My Dream Dress. This was the 5th bridal salon in the 3rd city that I had tried. In each salon, I had tried on anywhere from 5-20 dresses. I'm from the Columbus area but made the drive because I'd heard of the great bridal district from several girls I know. I went to Cinci primarily for Bridal and Formal but found the abundance of male staff, women packed in, dresses thrown helter skelter, and impersonal nature off-putting so headed across the street to European Bridal. At first I didn't even want to go in because I thought the dresses would be far too expensive for my budget, but my mother insisted we go in.

I was greeted immediately by staff and Sarah began to help me. She was so wonderful--a complete sweetheart that listened thoroughly to my likes and dislikes then started to pull dresses. The first dress I tried on I really liked, but the third was IT for me. It was so beautiful and felt custom made for my body, personality and how I had described my wedding to her. She then informed me that my dream gown was 75% off (!!!) because they were making room for the new lines. I got a gorgeous gown that normally would be over $1500 for just $370. Needless to say, my jaw dropped--I was shocked. I had planned on spending $1200+ on my gown...I actually think I spent right around $300 on my PROM dress years ago!! I was so surprised and happy that I just started laughing with excitement. Needless to say, I walked out with the gown that day.

The dress is simply gorgeous, BTW. Strapless ivory satin with a slight sweetheart, detailed embroidery and swarovski crystals throughout the whole dress, trumpet silhouette, beautifully detailed long train...it is stunning. My parents paid for the dress (lucky break for them lol!) and my father thought it was at least 2k. I 100% recommend EB to any bride--staff is wonderful, gowns are beautiful, and prices are ridiculously good!!

Pushy and Overpriced. I made the mistake of buying a dress from this shop. I stopped in while I was in Cincinnati for a business trip just to look around and get some ideas. I ended up finding a dress that I really liked and probably would have bought, but the saleswoman (Connie) was so pushy that I ended up walking out. She called a week later to tell me the dress was "on sale" through the weekend for $1850 from $2200, and so I caved and ordered it from her, against my better judgment. I ended up having to get the dress shortened at another bridal shop that sells it closer to where I live and was told that if it had been ordered hollow to hem I wouldn't have needed to get it shortened. I decided to call and let Connie know that she should tell customers of that option (she didn't tell me), and she proceeded to lie to me that because I'm taller than 5'3" that this was impossible. I verified with the shop where it's being altered that there was no height cutoff. And the "sale" that I bought the dress on? Again, I checked with the shop I am getting it altered at and they are selling it regularly priced for $100 less!

Ideal Gown Shopping Experience. My mom and I were assigned to Rachel in the salon at European Bridal (in Nov. 2004). It was so much fun. Rachel was incredibly kind, patient, and insightful. I loved the dresses she selected for me and when I was having a hard time deciding between two at the end, she did not pressure me in the least. The personal attention and the airy charm of the salon made the whole experience truly wonderful. (We did try a much bigger, more impersonal bridal shop across the way as well, but didn't last very long there.) Thank you, Rachel!

Like two stores in one, for brides of all budgets.. In Short
This bridal boutique is split into two levels. Upstairs, all of the gowns are from Europe, and reflect their origins in style, quality and price. Downstairs is less glamorous, but if she's lucky, the bargain-hunting bride will find one of the upstairs gowns discontinued. It's possible to sail out of the store with a $2,000 dress for a mere $500. Bridesmaids dresses are also located on the first floor.

European Bridal 2 thumbs way up!!!!. There are no stores that compare to European Bridal. We came from Lexington, Ky. and found the service exemplary. At other stores we received a hard sell, but here my daughter was asked about her vision of her wedding, her likes and dislikes of various styles and was asked to tell our consultant how best to describe her personality. The perfect dress was found with the veil and head piece. The dresses were never just thrown on the hangers or on the ground as in some other stores where it was more like a Bridal Warehouse. We can't imagine a more pleasurable and satisfied experience. Every accessory was carefully chosen by Suzi and her creative touch makes her outstanding in her profession! Don't miss this store!!
