trashy norwood bartender will steal your money. i've hung at the edge inn at night, and the chick bartender is always very cool. recently went in in the afternoon however, and being the only new face in there in probably ten years, the bartender figured she could rip me off since she'd have all her regulars there backing her up. i walked in with a 20 and a 5 that i just got from the ATM (pnc atm- they still give 5's). i gave her the 5 for a drink and left a dollar. i ordered a beer and gave her the 20, the only other bill i had, and she gave me change for a ten and promptly turned around and started gabbing again with one of the loser regulars (apparently another bartender there). after finally getting her to come back and telling her her mistake, she made some grand production about counting her drawer and telling me it was dead on so i was wrong. i asked her to count it again, at which point she yelled she already did and then she started swearing at me (b/c she is clearly typical norwood trash). so the manager hears this and comes out and gives me some bs about how people make mistakes and if they find my money at the end of the night they'll leave it in an envelope for me for the next time i come in. needless to say, they didn't find my money - because the bartender kept it. apparently they don't have cameras in there either, cause i guess they do this all the time to the new people in order to run them off, and cameras would just prove their bartenders are thieves. i love dives, but stay the hell out of this one, or at least declare all your money the second you sit down.

Live on the Edge!. Live on the Edge or at the Edge....no matter which, you're bound to have a blast. For an especially good time, ask for Charlie.

If you feel cheap, you've met your match.. In Short
The Edge is a no frills dive. A staple of the Norwood/Oakley bar scene, the crowd is mostly of the hard-working/hard-drinking variety. Weekends usually draw a good crowd of locals and nearby restaurant workers. With a padded horseshoe bar as its centerpiece, The Edge has a limited selection of beers on tap, as well as cheap mixed drinks. Entertainment comes by way of Golden Tee, Star Wars pinball and Chicago Coins Top Hat Bowling.

Weekend late night after 10:00 is a blast for people watching. It seems everytime I have been here I have always left having the best time. Yes you will get drunk if there more than 2 hours and it will be easy to do. The people are of all walks of life and everyone who is local knows you come here to have fun with friends as well as some serious people watching. Awesome jukebox. You have to try this place once on a weekend after 10:00.

Best Lastcall in Town. The best lastcall stop...but be prepared to give 'em up at 2:30. Spend those crumpled up dollar bills you've collected all nite...they'll go a long way or at least 'til 2:30
