My husband purchased a gift certificate for me for a Relaxation Package. Everyone at the salon was so nice and made me feel so comfortable! I left the salon that day feeling so relaxed and rejuvenated! Tell your husband to send you to Mitchell's!
bad brow waxing. I went in for an eyebrow wax this morning and was very disappointed. I have thick eyebrows and love them. I specifically asked the technician to just clean up the strays, don't try to change the shape or give me a big arch. When she finished, she handed me the mirror and I thought I was going to cry on the spot. I had these tiny little stripes for eyebrows. I told her I was upset and they really weren't me. She apologized and didn't charge me for the service. That's fine and was nice of her, but it didn't make my eyebrows grow back. I went home and realized I just how upset I was. I couldn't look in the mirror without crying. I went straight back to the salon, told them how unhappy I was, and asked for them to show me with cosmetics how I was supposed to fill them in to look decent while I waiting for my poor brows to grow back. I had the same woman help me. I could tell she was a little upset but she did help me and ended up giving me the make-up brush and make-up that I would need. The funny thing was, when she looked at the picture of myself that I brought back to the salon to show them what I used to look like, she said, "Oh, you really did mean you like them natural." Yeah, if you would've listened in the first place, this wouldn't have happened.
Very Disappointing.
My boyfriend booked a massage appointment for me as part of a special holiday date. When he made the reservation, he was told he could personalize a card for me to receive when I arrived at the appointment and pre-pay for the service (both of which he did).
The massage itself was ok (average at best). Ambience was lacking - I never really relaxed because I could hear noise outside the room and there was no scent in the room or the oil. The therapists' transitions were a bit awkward and she spent too much time massaging my scalp and neck. It was supposed to be a full body massage and it felt more like an elaborate back rub.
The worst part of my experience occurred as I was checking out. I stopped by the front desk to confirm everything was taken care of and the young woman working told me she had no record of my boyfriend's payment or any gift certificate purchase. Her tone was very rude and condescending; she didn't even bother to make a phone call to their call center to look further into the reservation. I had to call my boyfriend from my cell phone and he had to give her his credit card information over the phone to pay for my service. I also never received the card he left for me. Unacceptable. I will not go back.
Best Salon in Town!. I have been getting my haircuts regularly at Mitchell's for quite some time now. I absolutely love the atmosphere and friendly staff. I would recommend this salon to everyone!
Mitchells will not stand behind their work-horrible experience-3 times in a row. tried 3 of the Mitchell's salon. Not one stylist could give me a "normal" light brown color. It was very brassy and each new stylist just tried to cover it up. My hair is dry and a mess now. I'm in my forties, middle class, not very hard to please, but this is insane. I have shorter hair, my sister has longer hair. We both received horrible cuts and brassy hair from the colorist. The manager was very unpleasant and did would not refund the money or fix the hair. I'm looking to find a good colorist in the cincinnati. Does anyone know of anyone? IDo not use Mithell's because they do not stand behind their work at all.
Editorial Review. Five-location salon and day spa keeps things intimate despite its size, with personalized hair care and attentive body work.
Way Overrated!. I recently moved to Cincinnati and took a chance before my wedding for cut and color. What a mistake! The hair stylist was less than professional and overbooked as I was pushed into a back room to wait while she worked with two other customers. She put my hair in foil highlights in less than 20 minutes (I have long, thick hair) and rushed me out the door before it was even dry. I paid way too much money to walk out with less than impressive highlights, cut, and frizzy hair that was left to air dry. Management was couldn't have been less helpful when I voiced my concerns. I felt like I was in the "fast food chain" of hair salons.
I Love Mitchell's!. I finally found a salon I can return to time and again safely! I moved to Cincinnati 4 years ago and tried several different salons. Finally I found Mitchell's. I've tried two stylists and they were both excellent. It's pricey, but worth it.
Absolutely The Best Spa Experience in the City. Every time I visit Mitchell's it is a pleasant and rewarding experience. The people are exceptional and very professional. I am consistently pleased with the results of their services. I couldn't ask for more from my salon!!
inept stylists. tried four stylists in the last eight months. the first pulled my hair. the second incessantly talked about himself for three hours straight and overbleached my hair. the third was sweet but botched my hair color twice.
