Definitely the best yarn store in the city. Shop owner is an expert knitter who is happy to help solve your project problems. Beautiful store, ample space and natural light makes it easy to look at the colors and get at the mechandise. Caters to the more serious knitter, but also has some fun & easy projects. Has the most complete Rowan inventory anywhere, and the yarn is there - you don't have to order and wait....and wait....and wait. She also has a nice selection of needlepoint. I highly reccommend a visit to this shop, and it should be a pilgrimage destination if you are into Rowan.

i really like this yarn store--i'm familiar with most of the fiber stores in cincinnati and northern kentucky and one more stitch is one of my favorites. ironically, some of the negative comments from other reviewers top the list of reasons i purchase much of my yarn from this shop. the women who own this store are not snooty, they're just "hands off" until you ask for help. when i'm shopping for yarn, needles, and notions, i want time to browse, to touch and handle the fibers, to take in all of the offerings. the last thing i want is a "salesperson" trying to talk me into yarn i can't afford or don't want. these women are lifelong knitters: they have answers for you and are glad to help you when you ask, but they're not going to hassle you. the yarn selection is not limited, per se, but they do favor rowan here. they have tahki, noro, colinette, and several other smaller brands as well. yeah, you're going to spend a bit more here, but you're also going to get quality needles (addis, susan bates) and yarns and beautiful notions that you might not find elsewhere. on a recent visit, i was trying to determine how much yarn i needed for a project and the owner actually recommended that i purchase fewer, not more, skeins. she could have easily let me spend an additional $15 on yarn, but she didn't. finally, and this is a personal issue, i support this yarn store because it's in a part of the city that really needs/deserves more attention and successful businesses. i get tired of traveling to the suburbs or to northern kentucky for yarn. i'm pleased that the new location is easy to reach (for those of us who live in town) and that, whether they mean to or not, the owners are helping an older section of town in the process of returning to its former beauty.
