The Scene – One of the loveliest--and liveliest--corners in Hyde Park is graced by Vineyard Cafe, a classy joint with cozy tables, good service and great food. The lovely courtyard is in semi-retirement during winter, but those tables fill up at the first sign of spring. – – The Food – The menu here is eclectic, but there are some standouts, such as light and flavorful crab cakes, the portobello-brie wrap, tuna Nicoise, and the knockout roasted pork loin with tasso bread pudding and Creole mustard sauce. Portions are not huge, but everything is prepared to…

We were disappointed with this restaurant after having high expectations from reading reviews online. The food was good, but not great. My husband got the salmon and I got the crab cakes. We found both dishes to be bland with very mild flavors which we found boring. My husbands "seasonal salad" was also very bland. The presentation of the salad was poor with very little color and the dressing had very little flavor. The service was good and the waitress helped us both choose a great wine. We ate outside which was great and very relaxing. We spent over a hundred dollars for our meal: two glasses or wine, two salads, and two entrees. For the price the food was just not good enough.
- Pros: wine, outdoor dining
- Cons: expensive, bland food
Best eclectic cuisine and wonderful ambiance in Cincinnati

Awesome menu, constantly changing so you are always pleasantly surprised. The seared scallops are wonderful, as the tomato florentine. The bread and olive tapenade served when you arrive is absolutely delicious. The service is also immaculate, the waiter was very pleasant and very eager to cater to my very particular desires! The ambiance is reminiscent of cafes in paris in which you can watch people go by with their dogs or just jogging around the area.
- Pros: Delicious menu, friendly and efficient waiters
- Cons: Short menu, although it is constantly changing, so it makes up for the few quantity of items

Consider reserving for a large group. The Vineyard Cafe also owns the Wine Room next door - a Wine Bar atmosphere with a delightful private garden in the rear. We had a private party for 20 (probably could have seated 30) with appetizers and drinks in the Wine Room and then dinner in the garden. Never had so many compliments on a party. The service was friendly and impeccable, the wine list wonderful, and the food was delicious. So many excellent choices on the menu - favorites are the crabmeat artichoke dip appetizer, scallop ceviche, and ravioli balistreri. Even the house salad is unusual and filled with tasty morsels.
- Pros: good veg selections, view of kitchen, cute cooks
- Cons: not a secret anymore

Hummus appetizer at $10 is a serious rip off; 6 quarters of bread, little cup of hummus and salad the size of a 50 cent piece with no artichokes in it at all. Got a lot of nerve charging this price for this pitiful item.
If you are not drinking they are not interested in you
- Pros: nice setting
- Cons: indifferent service, seriously overpriced
