So Happy They Called!.
I was job hunting for a little over a month, completly lost, when I got the call from TRAK. I will admit I was confused because I had never heard of TRAK Staffing before. I set up an interview with no concern of making the interview or not. But I decided to check it out and when I walked in the lobby I was already impressed. My initial interview went so well that the 30 minutes turned into and hour and a half! I was nervous the whole time but the staff made me feel to welcome and warm.
Within weeks they placed me at a possition that is perfect for me! They did more than just listen. I've now been at my possition for just over 4 months and I can't tell you how much I love what I do. At this point I know I couldn't have found a possition like this one if I had tried to do it on my own. I am so greatful to TRAK. If they call, pick up the phone! It's probably your dream job!
TRAK renewed my faith in temping. I thougt all temp companies were alike. Bring them in, put them out, and couldn't care less about you. You were just a number. Well, they're not at all alike. I got a call from a woman at Trak that had saw my resume on monster. She said she was impressed with my resume, and wanted to talk to me more. I thought I had nothing to lose. I had been out of work for 9 months and not so much as an interview in that time. I met her the next day and felt like she really wanted to get to know who I was and what I was looking for in the long term, not just a quick job. We talked about 45 min and I felt excited. She said I had to do some tests first but to do them tonight and she would get back with me tomorrow. To my surprise she called me the next day and said, she wanted to ask if she could forward my resume to her client. I of course told her yes. That same afternoon I got a call saying they wanted to interview me... To make a really long story short I got the job, and at a great place. They never advertise on their own and only use Trak to get new team members. I couldn't have got this job without their help. They really wanted to know what I was really wanting to find and found me a place that I actually matched. If you are looking for a job, you got to call them. Trust me it worked for me, I'm glad I answered the phone.
TRAK voted "Best of the Best" by Cincinnati Business Courier. I was impressed to see that TRAK was voted "Best of Best" by Business Courier in 2010 and winner in their catagory for 2 additional years. I have found TRAK to be professional, helpful and have much success in working a a partner with them. I believe it takes the right attitude to find the right job and I thank TRAK for helping me with that....Call them today for an interview..you will not regret it for a minute.!
An Awesome Company. My experience with Trak has been awesome, to say the least!! From the very first time that I was contacted by my recruiter, Amy Haag, I have had nothing but a positive experience. I had been searching for a professional position for approximately 2 months when I received a call from Amy, who is probably THEE ABSOLUTE BEST recruiter in this entire city!!! Literally, within days, I had met with Amy, she had secured an interview with me at a top Law Firm in the city, prepped me for the interview so that I was ready and confident in my interviewing skills, and by the end of the week, I had secured the position! Not only am I grateful to Amy for helping me find a position that pays very very well, but I am so appreciative of the professionalism, kindness and concern that she has always had since our very first encounter. Amy did not simply place me in some random position, she listened to me...she made sure that she understood my needs and desires in a professional position and she also made sure that she understood my future aspirations and goals. Being that I plan to go to Law School once I complete my undergraduate degree, securing a position at such a well-established and well-known Law Firm was just what I wanted. I could not be happier with my experience with Trak and I would recommend them to anyone who is seriously in search of a life-changing opportunity -- this is not your average run-of-the-mill Temp Agency. I was hired for a Long-Term Temp-to-Hire position and in November, I will have been in this position for a whole year!! I love my position, the work that I do is highly valued and respected by my Supervisor and Manager, and as always, Amy continues to be a source of support -- she even makes sure to call me every few weeks just to check on me and see how everything is going! Call me crazy, but I never would have guessed that my experience with a staffing agency would turn out to be one of those opportunities that really impacted my life in such a positive way! I guess I just didn't realize that Trak isn't just any staffing agency. The recruitiers really do care about their employees - and given the nature of the business, at times there may be some disappointments or it may not be as easy to find a position, but the thing that I love about Trak is that not only do they give you the tools that put you at an advantage when you're intervewing with a company, but they never stop caring and they never stop working to help you secure a position. So if you are enthusiastic and willing to put your best effort forward, teaming up with Trak would be a wonderful opportunity for anyone!! YAY FOR AMY!! Go Trak!!! Keep up the EXCELLENT work!!!! :)
TRAK IS GREAT!!!. I wouldn't be where I am today if not for TRAK. I was contacted by a recruiter about a job that I would be a good candidate for. I was working part time as a personal assistant, and that job was going to end in the near future. I was not actively looking for a full-time job at the time and did not recall sending my resume. At first, I dismissed the call and said I was not interested in "Temp" work. But the recruiter assurred me their company was different and I should just come in and see what they had to offer. So I did! She was very helpful, enthusiastic and eager to help. I had never been on an interview quite like this. She took the time to prep me for the interview, to be sure I was confident and ready to "sell myself" to the employee. The very next day, I was called to come in for an interview for a position in a company that she though would be a great fit! Low and behold within a few days I was hired and am very happy with my position and the company I am in. My recruiter called to check with me to be sure I was happy and that things were going well for me. I have nothing but great things to say about TRAK. Thanks Melissa!!
Cincinnati's Best Employment Agency!!!.
I have nothing but positive things to say about TRAK! Initially, I met my Recruiter, as she was my customer at my other job as a Wedding Consultant. I mentioned to her that I was in search of an additional part-time job that could act as an internship, gaining experience in my field before I graduate from college next year. She was so helpful and enthusiastic about it all! She really stayed on top of things and called me with several opportunities in the Marketing field for me. My Recruiter appreciated my busy schedule as a full-time college student who had a job already and she worked very diligently to accommodate that.
Suddenly, a position within the walls of TRAK Group became available involving Marketing. I interviewed with Vicki, who showed true passion for her work. That is certainly something all the Recruiters have! In just the short time that I
Do not waste your time!!. I already wanted to leave before the interview even started. First a recruiter called me and she couldn?t recall my resume or where she even saw it? It became a guessing game between her and I on what jobs I have applied for. Before you meet the recruiter you must do a series of ?test? such as typing and basic office software knowledge. I?m sorry, but clearly my resume (I brought a hard copy for her to the interview) education, and work history speaks for itself. I have worked for numerous fortune 500 companies, I can clearly type and use office products, or I would not have been a business professional for 9 years! If they call, do yourself a favor and DO NOT respond! I know jobs are hard to find, But don?t let them degrade you.
DO NOT USE TRAK!.
The companies they will send you off to are generally small businesses that can not afford anything more than an office in a suite building, let alone afford paying a recent college graduate a decent starting salary. They like to maintain relationships with the same list of client companies for a long time frame, not because these companies are good matches for their temps, but because of the high turn around rate.
They sent me to a small business in which the owner let me know in the interview, that he likes to hire people and then fire them weeks later just because he can. In the same interview he cussed several times, insulted me, got offended that I wore a suit, and could never stay on topic.
When I brought my concerns to my representatives at Trak, I was told not to worry, that they will take care of me no matter what happens. Well, literally 5 days in working, the boss decided he no longer want a new employee, and fired me without any warning or justification. Upon calling up my rep at Trak, she started lying to me and being very rude and disrespectful. Needless to say, I am no longer using this awful agency.
Their placement strategy consists of filling the positions of the temps that quit on them after being disrespected and lied to.
If you really must go to this agency, avoid Amy, avoid Val and avoid Vicki. From my experience, these three people are as dishonest as can be and insincere.
All of this is imo from my experience with them. Thank God I am away from this company. Open a phone book, there are dozens of other local temp agencies and employment agencies, they all are better than Trak group.
I would even go as far as to guess that any positive review on here is fake and written by their staff.
Great Experience! Contact Val Geluso!.
I'm still not sure how she got her hands on my resume, but I had been in the job market for way longer than I'd like to admit. I had never been in a position where I couldn't find a job. I never had before been on an interview and not been offered the job. Now I could barely even get interviews. And the ones I did get, I wasn't terribly excited about to jobs or companies - but in this market can you be that picky? In my past, the jobs I did have were through people I know. I figured the good jobs now were going to people that had an inside track, as it seemed the positions were filled before or on the day they were posted.
I knocked around the idea of talking to a recruiter but my initial attempt led me to a company that required ME to pay. I wasn't working and had not one extra dime. So when I got the call, I was reluctant, but thought "good interview experience" since getting an interview was few and far between.
The interview didn't go as I expected. She approached it, something akin to a match making service. It wasn't me having to sell my value (not that my background wasn't discussed) as much as it was about what I was looking for. I gave her my "Wish List" but also expressed my need to get back in the workforce. My wish list consisted of things that, even in a good economic climate, would be hard to find I would think. She realized I wasn't a good fit for the position she initially wanted to discuss with me but felt she would be able to help me. She was very enthusiastic and I could tell she was going to champion my cause - to help get my life back on track! She might not have known that was what she was doing, but she was.
A little over 24 hours later (probably after how long it took to check my references and background and get my skills assessment test scores) I received a call with non-specific information about a job that not only completely matched my "Wish List" but touched on wishes that I didn't mention thinking they were too unrealistic. It was the first time in a long time I was actually excited about a job opportunity.
The interview was set up for the following morning. There was a lot of prep work you have to do, more than I've ever done for any job interview I've done in the past. She gave me homework! Then called me early in the morning before the appointment to go over it. It was a painful process, mostly due to the short turn around time but Val kept me going, always with positive words of encouragement. And it's not that I'm a slacker, but you can only ring that bell so many times with no reward before you start telling yourself your crazy if you ring that bell again. She knows this. She knows you want it regardless. Her faith in me helped me get what I needed done.
I went on the interview and called her afterwards, as instructed. We talked about how it went and any concerns. Of course my concern is that they were going to pass on me. She said it was her job to sell my value to them. I was offered the job later that day.
Val did everything and more that I could have ever hoped for. I recommend her to anyone. I recommend TRAK to anyone. They have a group of talented professionals that do great things.
AVOID, YOU CAN DO BETTER ON YOUR OWN!.
I understand that temp agencies are a business first, but these guys couldn't make that fact any more obvious if they tried.
I applied for a job posted on Craigslist at 3:00 am on a Friday, which I know was very late but I was unemployed at the time. The agent I spoke with called me 4 hours later (while I was sleeping) to say she got my resume that I sent on Wednesday (really?) and the next step was to set up an interview. I won't name the agent, as that would be disrespectful but needless to say it didn't start on the best foot.
I get to the interview and she is late by about 15 minutes. Alright, I'm unemployed and have nowhere to go so no biggie. So the interview after this goes alright, however she won't give me a solid timeframe for when (or even if) the company I was going to temp for would even keep me on after the temp period. Now I'm sorry but if you staff temps for a living and have a close relationship with the client companies you are staffing you should know this. But I digress, I needed work. We conclude the interview and I'm told that I'd be a great fit for the job and they'll get back with me on the interview date.
3 weeks pass and I don't hear back. I decide to email the agent to ask what was up and I'm more or less met with "Oh yeah, uh we'll get that set up!". What? Ok...so finally I meet the elusive boss of this elusive company that they won't even name until I get the info and the meeting place for the interview. Now I was new to office jobs at the time, but I had never interviewed at a restaurant before so I thought it was strange. I was told that this is normal for office positions and to think nothing of it by many friends and family so I shurgged it off and did just that.
Well, as it would turn out both TRAK and the company they placed me at were both trying to keep the open job a secret! See, the person who had the job I took was being replaced but didn't know that yet so they didn't want me in their office, or knowing too much about the job in the off chance I know the person who is already working there. He actually came into his old office my first day on the job, even introduced himself to me. At that point he was pulled into the boss's office and discharged. Classy.
So I finally start working at this company, and I guess when TRAK says "You're perfect for this job" I guess they mean "You are ROYALLY overqualified for this below-entry level, anyone can do this kind of job job" because basically all I was doing was receptionist work and occasionally telling people the reason their program wasn't working was because they need to turn the computer on. But I needed steady pay so what can I do?
Finally I have my first full timecard filled out and fax it over on the due date. The next day I get a call from my agent saying "OMG WHERE IS YOUR TIMECARD YOU ARE LATE". I politely let her know I faxed it over the day before and she says "WELL PAYROLL CAN'T FIND IT!"...really? Payroll really just lost my timecard?
So at that point I spent the majority of my time searching for a new job where I actually do work with PCs and networking (and not just telling people to check their print settings) and work DIRECTLY FOR THE COMPANY instead of as a temp through a proxy that was just ripping me off. I know the job market can be rough out there but stick with it and just get on directly with the company you are applying for. These temp agencies are just out to rip you off.
