Patrons add a little spice to their life with Cajun cuisine in this festive spot..
In Short
Most diners will leave stuffed after a Cajun meal here, and the festive atmosphere makes it the perfect place for groups ready to party. It's always loud--even when there's no live music--so if you're looking for quiet conversation, look elsewhere. Oysters on the half shell with cocktail sauce and horseradish are ice cold. Jumbo lump crab cakes are lightly spiced, accompanied by beurre blanc and Texas caviar (olives in jalapeno juice). Entrees include Cajun specialties like the signature blackened red fish and crawfish etouffe.
Eat before you go. It's a nice place to meet people and have a few drinks. The band is good, the service is good, but the food has not taste. You maybe better off eating a TV dinner before you go. Other then that it's a nice place to meet and have a few drinks.
Something a little different. I was invited to go to happy hour on a Friday night by a group of co-workers. This place was GREAT!! Live music, great appetizer and drink specials, and all kinds of people.
Go for happy hour, stay for dinner. Redfish has one of the best happy hours in the city, with $2 drinks and $2 appetizers. The food is great, especially the crab-stuffed salmon, and the atmosphere is really fun.
Don't take a party of 8 for lunch!. Yesterday I and seven of my coworkers had lunch at Redfish. We were informed that parties of eight would be included on one check and be assessed an 18% gratuity - a nuisance, but understandable. What was inexcusable was the fact that our waitress ignored us after delivering our first round of drinks, delivered cold food after we waited 45 minutes after ordering, then asked what else we needed, oblivious to our eight empty glasses. When we spoke with the manager, he offered to give us free appetizers, but when we said we were too disgusted to return, he offered a free lunch to us and free appetizers or desserts. The 18% gratuity was taken off the bill, and the solution was satisfactory, but after the free meal, I won't be back - I don't have 1.5 hours for lunch!
Fun Time for Family. I really enjoyed this place. With a family it's hard to have a nice meal with live music. We were able to sit in a non smoking section in a very cool dining room. The food was great and the server was very helpful.
