In Short – It's hard to imagine an entire legacy built squarely on a good corned beef sandwich. But this kosher deli, established by the Kadetz family in 1901, blossomed when Izzy provided Cincinnati with an over-stuffed corned beef sandwich with plenty of sauerkraut and pickles. Today, sandwiches are served on your choice of breads and come with the trademark crisp-and-spicy potato pancake. Specialties like the Rueben and the hot brown are topped with special sauces and cheese.
Great Corned Beef..But
by socialdsickboy
The meat is excellent, and the potatoe pancakes our out of site, but the bread is not good. A good jewish deli has good bread stacked with meat. The bread at Izzy's is "out of the bag" , thin sliced, one step above Wonderbread. The sandwiches are average to small in size, but they are inexpensive. The value is definately in the corned beef though. I would suggest making the trip to Columbus and going to Katzinger's.....

Izzy's is the best spot for lunch. Corned beed is the best I've had and the potato pancakes are excellent. Give them both a try and you will be back.
- Pros: great value, great food
- Cons: none
