In Short – At the base of Carew Tower, the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland is a magnificent French art-deco structure. Opened in 1931, it has hosted many luminaries. It boasts state-of-the-art indirect lighting, internal broadcast system, ultramodern baths and high-speed elevators. Fine murals, Rookwood fountains and restored public spaces, including the Hall of Mirrors, have made this a national treasure. Order a bloody mary with one of the best Sunday brunches in town at the mural-filled Palm Court.
Art Deco Masterpiece

This hotel is clearly one of the gems of America's Art Deco period that still survives basicly in its original form (At least in the lobby) until today. Located in the Carew Tower, the tallest building in Cincinnati, it adjoins an arcade of shops so you won't have to go far to do shopping. It is also connected to the Convention Center by a covered Skywalk, so you can get back and forth without getting too warm/cold/wet. A must stay location for lovers of architectural detail.
- Pros: Art Deco, Close to Everything, Good Shopping

The Extras:
Look for the resident ghost, the Lady in Green, said to walk the Hall of Mirrors and mezzanine. According to legend, her husband was killed in the construction of the hotel in 1930. His body was never found, and she spends restless evenings looking for him.
