If you want real Japanese food.
How to start, been to Japan Several times and this is authentic as it can be in Cincinnati. Anyway, it is a little pricey for American standards, but for Japanese standards its not that bad. Its hard to explain, but the food really tastes like i am back in Japan. I hope I can be of some help!

Wow! A Japanese Restaurant Own By Japanese!.
Eat here often as it is truely Japanese, from the greeting upon entry to the farewell on leaving. It is Japanaese food prepared by Japanese who know what they are doing.

Traditional tatami rooms allow customers to enjoy fresh sushi and saki in Japanese style..
The Scene
The interior pastel green and blue color scheme is cool and relaxing. Tables, chairs, and even the woven place mats match. Service is friendly and the chef and waiters are happy to answer questions or make suggestions about the food. There's also three tatami rooms for customers who want to dine Japanese style.
The Food
Given the price and variety offered, Akira's food is mediocre. The boneless ginger chicken sounds good, but arrived with no hint of ginger. The teriyaki chicken and beef entrees, served with rice, salad and miso soup, are XXX, and while the tempura appetizer is tasty with a light crisp coating, the portion was disappointingly small. The freshly prepared sushi is the best choice here-- it's reasonably priced, attractively presented, and very good. A variety of ice creams are offered for dessert, but stick with the traditional green tea and coffee flavors, whihc come in little balls covered with a thin coating of rice.
