What a JOKE. Went for the first time on New Years Eve. My date and I both ordered something different and neither was even edible!! we talked to the manager and he tried to send us home with more of the same EWWW He told us "no one else had complained" and really made no effort to make sure we were happy. He did bring out a few old chocolate mousses that had old hard whip cream on them and said they were ":on the house" We left hungry, disappointed, frustrated and would NEVER return.

Completely disappointing!. My husband and I went on a date here and were very disappointed. We had been excited to go because of the history of the house. We love historic homes. When you walk in, the restaurant smelled dingy and felt outdated and unkept. The hostesses were dressed very casually. The room we were seated in was the Garden room (a porch) and smelled moldy, like the basement of an old house. We were there for dinner and were disappointed to have old plastic table covers that had holes in it, paper napkins and very old and abused silverware. The carpet was worn and dirty and the everything in that room really needed to be replaced. I had heard from many sources that the food was wonderful. I was hoping it would be because the prices were high. Well, I couldn't even eat my meal. It was awful. I couldn't believe the condition of the rest of the restaurant. The owner needs to open his/her eyes and realize what a beautiful house that is and make changes. What a waste. The entire upstairs was awful too with hideous red tablecloths and plastic covered metal chairs. I will be telling everyone I know what an awful visit we had.

Serving upscale, traditional American heartland cuisine and fireside spirits in an historic setting.. In Short
English country wallpaper, hardwood floors and low-level lighting set the mood at a restored mid-1900s farmhouse that serves traditional Midwestern fare. Appetizers include baked brie in puff pastry served with fresh fruit and Cajun shrimp in spiced beer sauce with crusty bread. Main entrees like peppercorn-studded strip steak coated in Jack Daniel's sauce and honey-battered deep-fried crispy chicken are local favorites. The house dessert is a cinnamon-laced bread pudding smothered with vanilla custard sauce.

Awesome food.. Go during the week. Usually the weekends are busy but still worth a shot when all the other resteraunts in West Chester have a hour wait. Chef Mike hasn't lost his touch!
