Wonderful Restaurant in the Cincinnatian Hotel.
The elegant building itself was built in the 1880's and is rather breathtaking, if you ask me. Chef Salazar had been working in New York City at a number NYC's culinary heavy hitters, including Blue Ribbon Sushi and Jean George.

This was a very disappointing experience..
This was a very disappointing experience.
1. The service was very good.
2. The room was very drafty and cold.
3. The food was mediocre at best, very overpriced while being served at room temperature.
Finally, one of our party asked if they could order the chicken w/ potatoes vs. the dumplings on the menu. We were informed that that is not allowed. The chef has decided what foods should be served together and will not allow any other set of combinations.
Overall, just simply disappointing.

Fresh seasonal fare and incredible attention to detail are the hallmarks of this fine-dining restaurant..
In Short
This upscale restaurant in the Cincinnatian Hotel features unexpected delights throughout the meal. For example. fresh lemon halves for your water come wrapped in gauze tied with grosgrain ribbons. Or between appetizer and entree, a tiny scoop of fresh sorbet arrives to cleanse your palate. The fare features a range of familiar foods with gourmet and exotic twists. Highlights of the summer menu include Hudson Valley foie gras with roasted plums and seared sea bass with mango relish.

Previous reviews are really old.
Based on previous reviews I selected this restaurant and was expecting a great dinning experience. One that you leave with wow that was nice. Well the food was fine...over priced but good. The attention to detail mentioned in the overview is not there. Maybe because it was a Monday evening... but our waiter could have cared less if she was there or not. Others around seemed to at least have a personality.
Over all there are many restaurants in Cincinnati that would rate higher... and will have my business in the future.

The Mercedes of Restaurants.
The Palace is the best kept secret right here in lil old Cincinnati. Nestled right inside the wonderful Cincincinnatian Hotel. The moment you step into the Hotel you are transformed into elegance, and the employees treat you like royalty. The food was delicous and hats off to Chef Hulin. Thanks for my stardom that evening, and I will be back for every special occassion or just for a little R&R.
