NKYFOODIE. If you can get past walking down a dark alley feeling walking to the front door and dont mind close seating then this might be your place. Upon arriving we found the host not at his post. The wait staff wanted to help but was fearful, soon we found out as the "Diva" of all Hostesses appeared from sitting with his friends talking. Rule number one at a "Fine Dinning" is the help does not set with the guests. We where shuffled to our table after 100 excues me to the other dinners as the tables are impossible to get to being so close together. We found that several tables were over-sat instead of pulling tables together to have them be able to enjoy their dinners and make sure everyone has enough space to walk, thank god there was not a fire while we where there. We placed our oders, recieved the food very quickly. However we found it burnt and cold. I cant figure out why it was cold due to the fact we received it so quickly. Besure to make sure you ask for everything needed with your dinner it is not an automatic such as ketsup, butter, syrup. maybe they are using that buget on the linens covered with paper. It is a cafe not anything special that they are trying to achieve. I would suggest if you cannot afford linens remove them and just use the paper. Not both, nothing more dissappointing then this. It makes you want to spill something on the linen eges so they have to replace after use. I thought everyone was trying to go "Green". The place appears new, but is showing signs of aging quickly do to lack of cleaning, from crumbs in the seats to the window ledges. If your in nice clothes besure to swipe the seat clean with your hand prior to sitting. I over heard the Host tell another couple as he was seating them it would be 15 mins before someone could be with them. With him still talking to his friends while we were eating , I found this to be rude to the guests as well as his co-workers. He could/should have at least started their drinks. Really they should check him at the door. He could and should help his co-workers, as well as trying to please the guests for if this happens much this place wont last long. After all it is just Bellevue Ky, I should not have had such high expectation. BTW... Why is the wait-station where the guest could see the dirty mess?
