What a fraud! My Mom bought gift cards in December for me... I go to use them this week and find out they got evicted and moved into a Barber Shop around the corner! OMG!!!! No botox, spa or tru spa services were available out of the Barber Shop... what a waist of money on gift cards.

Today my Mom finds out they are out of business... not even in the Barber Shop now either! What are is anyone with gift cards supposed to do???????? What a scam!!!!

I finally found a GOOD Salon and Day Spa. After hopping from one high-end Salon to another I have finally found what I have been looking for.

From the time I stepped through the doors at Avalon I was met with smiles and a feeling of peace. I was shown into the ladies locker room where a silkie comfortable robe was waiting to surround my tired body. My massage with Helita was the best I ever had. She listened to my needs and addressed my problem areas with skill and finess. (The hot towels were a nice addition).

I had also booked a manicure and pedicure. This room was separated from the noise of the Hair area which allowed me to continue my feeling of calm after the massage. This service was first class to say the least. I didn't take advantage of the Sauna but plan to next time.

Thank you for bringing a Salon of this quality to Cincinnati. I will be back soon and plan to tell all my friends. Good experiences are meant to be shared.

Wow! best hair extensions ever!. I was referred to Avalon by a friend who got her hair extensions done by Jenn and I am super pleased! I had them done on vacation once in Floridat and loved them and really didn't think I would have much luck in Cincinnati but my friend's hair looked so good I went and I am so glad I did!

The extensions weren't cheap but good ones aren't and it was well worth how good I look!

Don't get fillers here, they rip you off!!!. I am so unhappy with this salon.I went for my 1st fillers for my face after seeing they were named best spa in 2009. I got botox in my forehead and restylane in my lips. My lips looked good till the swelling went down, botox never showed up after 5 days, called to go back, they were VERY rude to me, went back. Dr. said that I was being ridiculoud thinking my lips would look like a 20 year old. I am 47! HELLO! Isn't that the reason for the fillers? Tried to tell me that the restylane wasn't working yet. Google it, results are immediate. She also said some people get 4 or 5 vials around their mouth, are you kidding me! I just wanted the wrinkles above my lip gone, didn't happen. She put in a little more botox, becasue it was clear nothing had been done except numbing! My lips are sore and bumpy. Don't waste your money, I am not rich and had saved for this, And I am going on vacation to see old friends, wanted to look younger, or at least a little better.so dissapointed. :(

Dr. Zimmerman was wonderful and an amazing experience all around!. I made an appointment at Avalon to see Dr. Zimmerman for a botox injection. I was very nervous because I have never had botox done before. From the moment I walked into Avalon I felt very comfortable and relieved. The staff was welcoming and made me feel right at home. The ambiance and atmosphere was peaceful and beautiful!! Dr. Zimmerman was very professional and knowledgeable. I felt very comfortable being in her hands and she did an amazing job! I would definately recommend her to anyone, and I will definately return to Avalon to experience more of the many amazing services they have to offer.

My best hairstyle ever!!. A friend of mine recommended Ken at Avalon. I agree wholeheartedly with her recommendation. I have never had such a good looking hair style. I have received many, many compliments from family, friends

and co-workers. I am definitely returning in 4 - 6 weeks.

I was leary of another high-end spa after a bad experience downtown but I was very impressed. All of the staff were very friendly and I didn't feel like an outsider. Ken made an initial cut but recommended that I go shorter next time. He convinced me to get the shorter cut this time and I am glad that I did.

Spreading the word about Avalon helps them and you. They reward customers who recommend Avalon to others. In addition, their prices for men's styling are reasonable for quality and service. Finally, I received a personal Thank You note for my custom which just exemplifies their dedication to the client.

Perfect wedding day hair and makeup1. My wedding day was complete when Rosina did my hair and makeup! I felt like a princess bride! It was raining on my wedding day but she made me feel relaxed and we had fun! I highly recommend Rosina and her creative abilities.

Horrible Customer Service From Entire Staff!. Since the recent years, my wonderful hairdressers have gone on to bigger and better things, and though I truely wish them well, it left me in a rut to find someone new. So I tried out AVALON SALONs Gina. Big Mistake. Two months before my wedding I knew I needed some help with my blonde, I wanted to have a more natural aura about my blonde, add in some tinted shades and also, brighten up the underneith. I told this to Gina, and she was on her way. Two hours later, I was a BRASSY DULL BROWN. Don't worry, don't worry she said, alot of it will wash out and when I'm in the sun it will brighten up. I expressed my concern and disappointment after a $200 bill, at the front of the store, and was given no feedback. No manager stepped in to assess the situation, I was pretty much battleing with a hairdresser that obvioiusly didn't have my best interest in mind in the first place. All said and done she threw some 40 volume on the situation, literally, missing several spots and it looked like I got it done in a homemakers basement between laundry and babysitting. It was horrible, and she pretty much took every short cut she could, apparently because she could was afraid to deal with blonde hair. She even insulted me buy telling me it looked better, even though it wasn't what i wanted, than my 'blonde from a box' look before. All I can say is if you can deal with her attitude, and uninspired craftmenship, Good Luck! Buyer Beware!

LOVE IT!. I got a spa wish gift card for my birthday and went to avalon to redeem it. I was very impressed with the facility, it was relaxing and very high end. Cincinnati should be proud to have such an wonderful destination spa. The massage with Alan was fantastic and the cut and color with Ken was just what I needed for the summer. Thanks Avalon!

Best facial in town!. i have been a few high end spas in Cincinnati and Avalon is the most posh and friendliest I have tried.

I had the eminence facial with Gayle (love the footbath!!!) and not only is she extremely knowledgeable and professional, her touch is divine.

Then I had a spa pedicure and manicure with Marilyn. The foot mask that tingles-boy did I need that-and they were flawless!

I really appreciate the lack of snooty attitude there.even though their facilities are much more high end than some others, they treat clients like royalty. i will definitely return as soon as possible!
