dont rent from him. he doesnt do a thing for his tennants, if you have a problem they dont call to give notice.. ive woken up to them working on the dishwasher when i talked to them about a week before hand and didnt hear anything back. they dont fix their heaters and if he thinks its not a problem (because he doesnt want to fix it or invest money) then he wont fix it.. BC is a Dbag.. just saying
Worst landlord Ever.....
I am about to move out of one of Brett Cades rental properties earlier than my contract says due to the complete dissatisfaction I have experienced with him as a landlord. When we first moved in everything they promised that would be done was not, including extreme water damage, roach issues and black carpet. We had to rent our own carpet cleaner because they refused to clean. Every complaint we would have they'd deny fixing until we threatened to report there illegal habits. We went without heat for almost a week during one of the coldest weeks in December, I even had to purchase a thermometer to track the temperature, it went as low as 40 degrees in my bedroom. We still do not have fully functional locks and the water damage is getting worse. We also have tenants below us that have ruined most of our belongings by smoking inside and they will not do anything about it as well as the maintenance men coming and going in our apartments as they please, with little to no warning or time frame.
DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!!!!! Worst mistake of our lives!
Great People to Deal With!. I have rented from Mr. Cade at a couple of his different properties over the past several years, and he has always addressed every issue we have had. Too bad some people don't even realize the info they are spreading is WRONG. There is a billiard room at Glen Royal. You have to request the key from the office, but it is on the 4th flr near the elevator. And the city would not plow the parking lot repeatedly (every few hours) during the ice storms, but Mr. Cade does. It is not uncommon to hear him plowing in the middle of the night so the next morning we can all get to work. As far as maintenance issues, not too many places where the owner himself comes to check things out. There are many more of us satisfied residents, but seems only the unhappy ones take the time to comment.
I would not recomend this apartment complex to anyone!!!. When we first were interested in this property the brochure said that they had a billiard room and a fitness room. No billiard room and a run down fitness room with old equiptment that didnt work the way it was intended, and maybe did many years ago hardly qualify for advertisement. The parking lot is awful, not only do you have to arrive home very early to park anywhere close to the door, the whole parking lot is slanted so when it snows or is icy you slip and slide the whole way walking in. (the city does not plow the property that is property managements responsibility) There is much more that I could say negatively about my experience with Glen Royal, but most of which could have been simply personal and would be in bad taste.
Glen Royal. I would not recomend Glen Royal to any one looking for a place to rent and call their home. Brett Cade does not take care of his tents. I have had multiple issues with my townhouse and I left messages for the maintenance department and have also spoke with mister Brett Cade myself about fixing leaking roofs and after 17 months the window ceils and roof still leaks.
