Wonderful service!. Contrary to what others have posted, Detroit Joes was wonderful. Friendly service from all employees, including the owner and the main server. Helpful while we choose all three courses of our meal, and even led us in the right direction while choosing the best wine for our dollar. I would highly recommend Detroit Joes. It is a cozy little place, with a lot of class.

AWFUL! DO NOT EVER EAT HERE!. My husband and I decided to go to Detriot Joes on New Years Eve because a few of his family members raved about the good food. The food was in fact good, but the service was terrible and the owner was the most foul and distasteful person I've ever met. I had to get up and take our empty drink cups to the bar and asked to have them refilled after waiting 10 minutes for the waitress to do her job. Once we finally got our check, we handed over our credit card and only planned on tipping the horrible waitress a 10% tip. When we got the receipt back, they had automatically charged a 20% tip to our tab! I asked to speak to the owner about it and proceeded to tell her about our awful service and how we never authorized a 20% tip. She then proceeded to argue with us saying she knows how to run a good business and if we have a problem we could go down the street to Pompillios. I can't really put into words how disgusting her attitude was, but needless to say, we will never return here and neither will any of our family members who are regulars.

Worst Dining Experience in a long time. I was referred to this restaurant by an acquaintance and to say it was a dissapointment would be a huge understandment. There was one waitress for the dining area and although the crowd wasn't that large the service was adequate at best. The salad was terrible and the piece of meat they tried to call a filet was a joke. Not to mention the owner/head chef walked around with a heir about her like she was to good to address my issues. Definitely would not recommend.
