Awesome, Authentic Mexican Food.
I moved to Cincinnati 10 years ago from a community that had numerous authentic Mexican restaurants. I looked all over Cincinnati for something that compared and finally found it with La Mexicana.
It's not a fancy restaurant, but the food is outstanding. I'm a fan of their Vegetarian Quesadilla or the Flag Enchiladas, but there's some interesting options on the menu if you're brave.
The salsa is tasty, something I can't say about every Mexican restaurant in the area. And they make things a little more spicy than most others around here.
The only negative is, if you go in the winter, dress warm as they don't turn the heat up very high.

Great, Cheap Mexican Food.
You know it's authentic when you walk in the door and you're the only person whose native tongue is not spanish. Huge, delicious burritos. Great guacamole salsa. Coke from the bottle, just as the Mexicans like it. A small grocery store that caters to the area's growing hispanic community is in the back of the restaurant.
