Newport >Chart House Restaurant
Always a pleasure. Never had a bad meal or bad service sans a bartender who thoyught I was kidding and making up my drink order of a slow gin fizz but he learned a new drink that night with humility. I always like the food and the service.
Worst Night Ever!.
What a terrible experience. Met some co-workers for a Christmas dinner. Service was slow, first bottle of wine was over-priced and corked! Food came out late and they forgot one person's meal, we all had to wait.
Then to top it off - the valet attendant didn't lock our car doors and several items were stolen. Chart House corporate (Emily R.) was extremely rude, basically calling me a liar about the incident. We even had a police report and everything. Anyways, the area down there isn't safe, the Chart House isn't that great, and you would be much better off going to a Ruby's restaurant.
If you do have to go for some reason, make sure you don't valet your car!!!
For more than 40 years, this chain restaurant has served seafood and steaks in a relaxed atmosphere..
Founded in 1961 in Colorado, Chart House now has more than 25 U.S. locations. The restaurants, many of which occupy historic buildings, draw on the local region's natural features, making each one unique. Fresh fish and seafood dominate the menu with offerings like jumbo lump crab cakes, mahi mahi and Australian lobster tail. For landlubbers, there's prime rib, filet mignon and N.Y. strip steak. Sweet finishes include hot chocolate lava cake and raspberry creme brulee.
A Wonderful Experience. The food is outstanding. The service is great. I always have a relaxing enjoyable meal watching the boats on the river at night. The wine list is exceptional as well. I find my waiters always knowlegable about the food and the wine choices. If you are a chocolate lover, you cannot leave without a Chocolate Lava Cake.
