Pork and Ramen Lunch Special
by eirwin at Citysearch
I ordered Wednesday special, Pork and Ramen. I expected sliced cooked pork, but what they used was strips of bacon. Needless to say, there was an equal amount of fat to meat and the dish was too salty and had the smoked, bacon taste. I would not have ordered this dish if the menu would have specified bacon. To their credit, they were very professional and did not charge me.
not good for veggies

Being a vegetarian with a group of friends that love sushi, I go to Japanese restaurants a lot. I usually can always find something good to eat. At Jo An the waiter informed me that just about everything on the menu was made with fish, including the miso soup. I ordered under the simmered dishes category an order of simmered vegetables for $6. I received one broccoli florette, one califlower florette, one star-shaped slice of carrot, one small square of tofu, and one slice of squash. I just couldn't bring myself to pay for that dish so I sent it back and ordered the vegetable roll. That was very good. My friends ordered the sushemi which was a bit expensive for what you got. The service was friendly.

The variety and flavor of every thing we had was wonderful. I had chicken and the rest of the family had a variety of seafood or sushi. We all loved it! The Ginger dressing for the salad is Great too! We'll definately be back!

Eating at Jo An is always a treat! The miso soup is perfect and the sashimi melts in your mouth. Lunch is especially nice with daily specials and very reasonable prices. The staff is top notch.
- Pros: Fresh, Friendly, Delectable
Great Sushi

This is a great place for sushi. Frequented by executives from Toyota which is just a few miles away. Service is great, although the decor is a little formal. It's located on the bottom floor of an office complex tucked away on one end of the building. Can be pricy, but as sushi places go it's not bad.
- Pros: Great Sushi, Intimate, Great Service
- Cons: Hard to Find
